George's Mom is right: being poor, and black, he couldn't afford a competent attorney; he merely fell victim to cunning and devious prosecutors whose pay raises depend squarely on the number of convictions they get per capita.

yes and what I'm saying it is the evidence for improbability. If you can't gather evidence for something, or have not been able to then you can't say it DOES exist. Although it COULD, it probably doesn't until you can actually give something to show for it.

The only hope for those in and outside of prison comes from the realization that we are all prisoners of our own sins, and urges. When i was locked up the last time, i was so fed up with myself, and my wretched and evil life, that i was hopeless and believed that i couldn't change. I found out that i couldn't change myself, but there was someone who could. I found hope in Christ, and God changed me from the inside out. I found myself withouth those urges anymore, and now i have hope. Seek God!

also our universe needs an explanation because its complex or some people say because its beautiful but shouldnt got be the most complex thing and the most beautiful thing ever! then he himself would require even more explanation then the universe Its like solving a problem by giving even more complex answer like 2+2 = 1+1 - 20 +15 +4 +3 it doesnt answer anything you still need to solve it. So they had to be something simple at beginning not something complex

and he might realize that the line was straight all the time and that the way we see it is not the way it is. Its an illusion. This is the same thing arguing is all about showing other people why they are wrong its not name calling. Its important to argue because if we live our life based on false believes we arent making best choices we could. And yes its possible to convince people a lot of people lost their faith after reading books.

it is hard to do good in life if you dont know how but if you want to change change trough actions and your mind set will fallow. If you want to be a better person go and help out some people build a house and you will feel their gratitude and you will see that its good to help out and you will see that its easier then it seems. Actions change your mind set and show you why its good to be good :)

tyasiajohnson12, good question! The reason is that I understand a lot about the universe (I'm a scientist) and I can understand much about the universe without recourse to that idea. Indeed, that idea doesn't explain anything and there is no evidence for any gods - and I've been looking for any evidence for 20 years. The arguments for gods all fail in one way or another - every single one of them fails. Of course there might be a god, but there also might be a lot of imaginary things.

and peaceful conflict is great! We need to discuss our ideas its what changes peoples mind. Long ago everyone thought earth was flat if people were incapable of changing their mind we would still think that. Saying you're wrong im right doesnt change anything but giving reasons why you might be right does. For example if someone sees an illusion and he said the line is curved you might say well if you put a ruler to it you see that its straight so does the line change or are you deluded

the explosion didnt create us something that caused the explosion did. And when you have certain laws then they do create certain patterns those patterns if they are self replicating are called life if you still confused check out game of life videos on youtube. Its just gives a word a different random laws and life still emerges. This universe is not that perfect if there was different laws just different life would emerge. Google self replicating chemicals as well its good read

actually yes that was my point the other guy was arguing for no government and i said that then organized crime would run the world and you would have to pay them for protection just like in countries that dont have money for police (countries in africa ) and just like in wild west times
@princeofexcess
@princeofexcess 15 жыл бұрын
the problem is that they could however it pays off more to be a mobster then a member of the organized group. So people will be part of organized crime if they willing to die its better to get rich while doing it (there be many groups thou like gangs today) If everybody has to pay for police there is no way to form strong gangs because even they have to pay of get arrested so police has more power. And I think its horrible that we dont have the same ability to protect ourselves

An absence of understanding of how something works is not the same as an argument that it can't work. That aside, you're saying that "someone" (a person) can't simply exist without explanation, and therefore "someone" (a supernatural entity) MUST exist, without explanation. See the contradiction there? And if this God is more complex than us, then it requires more explanation than that which it's supposed to explain. If it's less complex, then there's no reason to call it "God".

I have just a different way of communicating then most but it doesn't mean its wrong. A lot of times the things im trying to say are hard to convey but it doesnt mean that i said it wrong it just means you dont understand it. If you dont understand something copy paste it and i try to explain what i meant i have only 500 chars so its not that ez to fit the whole meaning

Tell you what, child. You just keep praying to the Lord, for all of this to be over. And then you just lie down, close your eyes, relax, and give it another century or so -- for your natural lifespan to come to its natural, pre-ordained conclusion. You see, it really does help to adopt the eternity standpoint.

sure the absence of evidence is the evidence of absence. But even if that quote is true it is the very least the probability of, if you do not have evidence for Gods existence its probable that he DOESN'T exist.

how did this turn into a religious debate? the guy's convicted, whether or not anyone believes in god, he's still living his life behind prison walls. you're not going to change anyone's beliefs by arguing about it. so just shut up or say something relevant. ..different beliefs. if you believe in god's greatness, show it by blessing the people around you with your time, energy, and kindness. not with your debating skills. if someone sees something in you they like, they will pursue it. THATS how you show people who god is, not telling them 'im right, you're wrong'. that's my take on it.

nobody will agree on being irrational everybody is a little bit. I just think believing in things you have no evidence for is one of those things that make you a little bit more irrational. How do you logically account for existence of God or things you can possibly never know?
