Her husband has been jailed for dui. To be jailed for it in the US means you have to have done something really awful. The police have been called out on Domestic Violence reports on the couple several times. She has been arrested for violence a number of times, including for physically assaulting her nephew, who was a child. When the police arrived, she was screaming at him that he was "fat" and "useless". Once she was handcuffed she screamed that he should be very afraid of her and how she'd hurt him once she was no longer handcuffed. A child under 10 years. Stay classy Hope. She also abused the officers, including saying "my necklace cost more than all your salaries". She has a history of making racist rants. And is disliked by most of her team mates. Gee, I wonder why that is. Those poor children are growing up with two parents who are violent drunks, and generally horrible people.

I don’t understand where the idea that to be jailed for DUI in the US means you did something really awful. It depends on the state, they’re all different. @@SubliminallyMischievous This is true that's why if I've ever gone to a bar and don't feel safe to drive home I lock my keys in my trunk or toss them in the back toolbox of my truck because if they are in your pocket that's access and they could still try and charge you with DWI in NC. I also wont sleep in the drivers seat either just to eliminate any and all excuses they could possibly come up with for intent to drive under the influence. Thankfully I never go to bars anymore so I don't have to bother with any of that nonsense. With that said I've had police make contact with me many times in the past asleep in my vehicle in a bar parking lot and they always thank for me for not drinking and driving and offer to drive by every once in a while to make sure I'm still ok throughout the night. Of course that's probably more so to insure I didn't drive off drunk but, whatever. lol

Typical modern women, they are never the cause of anything, everything just "happens TO them". No accountability, no reflection, just "me me me". A traditional woman would never think "me" over "family", where as Hope Solo clearly is thinking about her rather than her family, otherwise the kids would not be in the back seat when she was drunk driving, heck, a traditional woman wouldn't even drink and drive, they have a working brain. ☹️ Don't hold your breath. Unfortunately, she seems too entitled and selfish to develop the self awareness necessary to learn anything from this. Also she's surrounded by ultra-privileged 4th wave feminist types on her team, and in her "progressive" celebrity circle, and those types of people don't grasp the concept of personal responsibility. They are basically conditioned to scapegoat all of life's problems on "sexism", "the patriarchy", and "capitalism", etc. You can bet that her "apology" and her official explanation on her blog were at least partly written by her publicist, if not entirely.

RedPill, what if, and hear me out, what if instead of the cops showing up at that parking lot, you have individual(s) with ulterior motives showing up and trying to hijack the vehicle, or just pull a knife or gun demanding her purse, or worse taken the kids as a bargaining chip, as in kidnapping. It could very well happen especially in this day and age. And she’s intoxicated to boot! In a public parking lot! Extreme danger was the correct usage in this instance, but I would want to hear why you’re even questioning it.

i love how she tried to tell the cops she hasn’t had a drop of alcohol, yet her face is blown up like a damn telletubbie lmfao. in all seriousness, i think her post-rehab podcast response is the most telling to her character. people act in all sorts of selfish and entitled ways during active addiction. but the fact that, clean & sober, she can’t even take full accountability & blames the night on being “so busy” with her kids and book signings that she “needed a break”, just goes to show how much of a deplorable, egotistical pos human she really is. her kids could’ve died.
@MeltWithU2 жыл бұрын
I was going to write the same thing. The fact is, regardless of the charges… Her behavior shows her true colors. That’s the thing about alcohol and pot, it lowers your inhibitions and makes most people more relaxed and happy… And others. It only amplifies their true self. The way she treated those officers, the things she said to them… Even though she knows she’s drunk and high, on top of the fact that she just had her blood drawn… So she knew they were going to find out. Then, trying to save face with the statement, she read on her podcast… It was nothing more than a ploy, to keep people subscribed to her BS. I am able to forgive, for the most part, if people take responsibility and own up to whatever it is, they did. But, when they use their discretion as cannon fodder for promotion… It goes to show their lack of empathy or apology for anything they did. Unfortunately, people like her, and so many others are teaching youth of today a level of narcissism that is eventually going to destroy society. These kids, on KZbin, obsessed with fame… Not realizing that, there’s only so far that will take you and when that fades, you are only left with either the person you were before, or the person you pretended to be after. Which doesn’t work in real life. The good thing is, karma generally finds these people and puts them in their place. At least for a short amount of time.

She hasn't been promoted as a role model for girls in a long, long time, not since she started getting into trouble publicly. The role model for girls stuff was the US Women's Soccer Team in general, who were the best in the world for a number of years, and that's what happens when you're the best, you generally become role models. At this point, it's clear Solo isn't a great role model. It happens. People get older, some of them become drunks and addicts, and they lose the respect of people and become a spectacle for tabloids.

Anyone that feels like they've arrived instead of someone that's on the path is always a pain. They're the tradesman that make mistakes because they didn't test properly, they're the students that don't study then look dumbfounded when they get 40% in a test, they're the bosses that won't listen to improvements that their employees suggest. Honestly, these folks are lucky that they aren’t charged with attempted manslaughter for driving drunk with children.. all he had to say was, “i hope your kids are fine” cuz frankly, she wasn’t concerned enough to ask, and it triggered her insecurities enough to spiral immediately. The first major step in recovery is accountability. She doesn’t really seem to do that. Again, all I heard was, “it was the best part of my day” 🙄
