That was a lovely story. Poor Duke, left there waiting and waiting for his Grace or someone else to come to his rescue.

@@CraneProductions27 Glad you enjoyed it, Ross. Indeed, and little did he realize how much the world had changed.

That’s beautiful, and very relaxing, I know that in the story the Duke of Sodor had been killed in the war and the new Duke, a boy hadn’t heard of his little engine until the news came around

The TV series was ambiguous with how long Duke was left there. But the books make that passage of time clear as day: 22 years! That's a long time to be without someone for real company...

@@numberjacksoctonauts7138 Too right there. Makes me wonder how Duke didn’t go stir crazy being locked away for that long. Not to mention how sad it is that he had no idea how much had changed since then…

@@LUCADOLLAR And Falcon/Sir Handel and Stuart/Peter Sam? There's so much to wonder about how they were feeling when they were missing Duke.

@@numberjacksoctonauts7138 Definitely must’ve been a huge burden in their minds for all those years Duke was shut away.

@@LUCADOLLAR Indeed so. If engines could be hugged, they would need it.
