Plus over Social media we can also support amazing rescuers like these from all over the world and help them save even more animals🐾💞😻

Elani Aniyvwia That's true. I am deaf all my life and I naturally relay on my eyes to "hear" by using visual cues to enable me. Deaf people use their vision (and hands) to compensate for their hearing losses and they adapt and function very well without the sense of hearing. Same concept applies to blind people as well as blind or deaf animals. They are just like other people and animals but in different way, they only need the accommodations to help them live their lives independently.

So glad the kittens were rescued and mom/dad fixed. If you want to help the cats by donating, I would encourage everybody to make your donations directly to Kitty Bungalow not Hope for Paws. Kitten Bungalow is the one doing the hard work of socializing, fostering and adopting the kittens out. They also will be the ones paying for the cats medical expenses. Although Hope for Paws went out into the field and save the cats which is so wonderful, they do NOT have a shelter or physical facility, nor do they foster or adopt out animals. But, Kitten Bungalow does - thus they need the financial support in order to continue their work of saving cats and kittens throughout Los Angeles.

I remember one of our kittens. I thought she was fully blind. I was terrified to see her meowing on her own in an empty lot next to our block, eyes tightly shut. I took her, fed her, and put her above my head whenever I slept. I left her to my mom's aid when I go to school and take care of her again when I came home. Turns out she's sick and had infections around her eyes. After I took care of her she became this tsundere type of cat. Had a blind cat for 13 years before cancer got him. They adapt incredibly well. He knew where everything was, never had a problem using his litter box or anything. When he got sick we started taking him outside because his time was limited and he always wanted to go outside (the grass is always greener). We stayed with him as he walked around, of course, because we had trees and a pool and other things, but since he had so little time anyway we wanted him to live it up... I was surprised how well he managed to learn the backyard. I saw him walk up to the pool, stop, and lean down to get a drink. He was very intelligent and managed quite well despite being blind. The main thing is that you get used to making sounds to indicate things for them. For example, if he wanted to jump on something, we'd pat it so he could hear how high it was. When playing you would make sure to swish the toys against the ground so he could hear where it was. Little things like that, and after time you do them automatically. They can both live very full and happy lives.

Number 15 is even more special to me because some heartless monsters threw him out of a moving car over a fence and he landed 10 feet away from me as I was sitting outside of my home. It took me a month to get him to trust me as he was traumatized by such an ordeal. He is the sweetest little boy and so beautiful. I will cry when someone finally takes him from me, but it will be so awesome to know that 15 of these beautiful animals have forever homes thanks to my efforts. I have a blind cat and I can assure you, she has no idea she is "handicapped". She takes on life just the same as my other cats. Her ONLY limitation, if you must feel sorry for her, is she can't go outside. When the windows are open ( screened, of course), she sits at the screen with her nose aquiver right along with the other guys! I am angry at the people who let her eyes get so bad before they reached out for help but she does just fine.

My biggest fear watching this was that I wouldn't find out if someone gave beautiful Kenshi a loving home but OMG am I relieved they mentioned her adoption in the video. I wasn't going to cope very well thinking she might not find a home after all that poor girl went through. Thank you so much HFP!

The last thing you want to loose in this world is sight.
@Balnazzardi4 жыл бұрын
True...losing any sense would be terrible, but sight most of all. Ofc this depends entirely also on animals/species anyway, some animals have really poor eyesight to begin with and sense the world around them much better in other ways, but I bet most persons would least chose to lose their sight.
@Saffrone2214 жыл бұрын
Balnazzardi if you cant see the sunrise and see a breezy meadow with fresh flowers and flowing leaves then you are already dead. Sight and your limbs are what matters. You loose sight you might as well travel this world in darkness.
@Balnazzardi4 жыл бұрын
@@Saffrone221 Ye true...thats why I said of all the senses, most ppl woul prefer to lose their eyesight the least and even lose both hearing and smell/taste (these are linked to eachother anyway, if you cant smell anything, you cant really taste much anything either) senses rather than lose their eyesight. Although living in world where you would never hear or taste anything either would be rather depressing, but not as depressing as not being able to see anything. And atleast its somewhat possible in some cases to fix hearing artificially, fixing sight is much more difficult.
@Saffrone2214 жыл бұрын
Balnazzardi yes. Between cancer and sight. You would have trully lived to see the world in a short time than lived never see color in the remainder of your life. You can only hear the voice of god in a dark abyss
