Andriy Shapavalov, compulsory education is mandatory in the USA from age 5 to 18. The USA problem is there doesn't seem to have any oversight on Foster kids in homeschooling or kids from abusive families that are used for farm labor while they're suppose to be getting an education. When I was a child over 6 decades ago, there was no such thing as home schooling because every single child was accounted for, that is not the case today.

You realize most children are not planned for; emotionally, physically or financially. People who can't afford to even feed themselves do not place therapy as a priority in their lives. In a wealthy communist country the government should have better plans for the maintenance of rural areas. Building agri based factories, assistance for agriculture, hospitals and schools would have halted the migration of rural workers to the cities and thus stopping the desperation based actions towards people's behaviours. This isn't just a problem in the east.

As a Chinese outside the Mainland, you do not know some feudal practices still exist in China. When daughters are 'married out', they become the properties of others, unlike in your world, married daughters still take care of their parents. These poor labourers cannot save up for their old age and there's no pension system for these folks in China, contrary to what China people must have boasted to you. Therefore, a son is the only child whom they can depend on when they are in old age. In China, when a man gets married, he is solely responsible for all the expenses for the wedding, purchase of a house and the furnishing, not to mention the huge dowry he has to pay to the bride's parents. And when a woman remarries, she has to cut off ties with her children who are born to her first marriage.

That entire interview segment as she puts hay or smth into the fire is actually so sad. She was beaten by her parents so bad that she's scared of her dad, and she wishes she died instead of her grandparents so they could be together. I can't even imagine the mental toll her living situation would take on a person

My heart goes out to this poor girl who had to sell her hair to go to school. This young girl has had to endure abuse from her father and she works hard to help her family never having a childhood of her own. If that is not bad enough she is not thanked for the work or the sacrifices she had made by giving up her education or for the help of caring for her younger siblings. My hope for her is she will one day meet a great loving man and have a happy family of her own . Your friend from Canada!!!!!!!! I wish you a very bright future and a Happy Birthday full of wonderful gifts and Happiness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One child policy, two children if rural areas, now gone. If you want children but can't afford their education , just don't. If for you a child is just a retirement plan, just don't. Selfish people make me sick.

@@cafezo87934 + No dear, you don't learn this from "studies" or "education". It is natural motherly instincts to protect and sacrifice YOURSELF for your children, not the other way around. This is pure selfishness and their retirement plan. Not only retirement plan, but they sacrifice the child now for them to enjoy now. They disrespect their daughters, they enslave them and don't mind that they are enslaved by others. pure evil.

It breaks my heart to hear that she feels things would have been better if she were the one to have died. Yet, you get a slight sense of faint lingering traces of hope, perhaps spoken as nothing more than a audacious dream, when she speaks of one day being able to have a family of her own with the firm stability with which her family life has so lacked. My heart goes out to her.
