the second bassdrum is there so that he can mount his hihat stand with the legs closed. It means that it doesnt move away and that he can have it closer to his pedal. also looks too i guess?
@AaronDeister9910 жыл бұрын
It's for if the head of the first one ruptures.
@pucupucubumbum10 жыл бұрын
he said that its there for the hihat himself. the head on it is also different from what he normally uses so i very much doubt its there for a replacement.
@wakayoda10 жыл бұрын
The 2nd bass drum is to trick the audience into thinking he has a bigger drum kit.
@pucupucubumbum10 жыл бұрын
well looks probably play a small part but like i said he said that its for his hihat stand. its attached to the bass drum because the legs are folded. a lot of metalcore drummers have started doing this.
@anonaconn10 жыл бұрын
You could get the hi-hat there using a cable clutch if you wanted though. I'm sure I've heard him say in an interview before that he doesn't like using more than one bass drum, I'm also sure I read somewhere that he only used that set-up because Truth wanted him to.
@brentwolf33312 жыл бұрын
For everybody who's confused, the extra bass drum is used to hold his hi hat stand in place. That way he doesn't have to spread the legs of it out and it be in an awkward position. It makes it more comfortable and gets it closer to the double bass pedal.

Listen. It's punk/metal/hardcore music. Fans aren't there to watch a drummer conserve his energy. People enjoy watching how his sticks flow with intensity. That's all. and that's why he does it.
