Back in Red River Gorge, we explore the Copperas Creek area for arches & waterfalls, including Hopewell Arch & Copperas Creek Falls. The forest is very much alive and the hike is mostly easy, lots of small stream crossings, boulders, rock shelters, and cliffs. We camped in the Red, but not in the Copperas Creek area, our campsite was located off of a trail along Tunnel Ridge Road.

That's why we love it there! I don't get to use my drone often, and unfortunately, I was limited here too, but only because I forgot to charge the batteries, LOL! Thanks for watching!

@@PFAM5 That is the truth! We couldn't have flown in the area of the arch & waterfall in this video, as it was in a designated wilderness, so no drones. But our campsite was outside of the wilderness and just in national forest land, where we could fly!

That looks so lush, and that Hopewell arch looks amazing. So cool that you had it to yourself! Sinkholes are so cool...just doesn't seem right. You know it is a real adventure when you don't always make it. I can see why the waterfall at your lunch spot is so photographed...wow. That was amazing. Great adventure, guys, thanks so much for sharing it!

Really enjoy your videos with you and your son. I'm from central Indiana and you guys give me lots of good info on places to go. I'm probably a little older than you, but your narration voice reminds me of some of those old Disney nature documentaries from years ago.

Thanks! We've still got a lot of places to explore in Indiana, but we keep finding ourselves on out of state adventures like this one! That is a huge compliment, I try to approach the narration like a nature documentary. Years ago, I did host a local music show on our local NPR station, but that's the only real experience I have, LOL. Thanks for watching!

Yes there sure is areas like that in indiana, check out turkey run in Central indiana, almost identical to parts of red river gorge, or check out Sullivan cave, also cool to see. Or Google climbing/boldering in Indiana, you'll find another spot, or check out Warren dunes, it's about 15 minutes into michigan from indiana but has a awesome trail I think you guys would enjoy, you walk down a river and the cliff side are all gray clay. Plus warren dunes has some massive sand dunes.

I've been to all those places except Warren Dunes, and as nice as they are, they still don't hold a candle to Red River Gorge, not even remotely. But I will add Warren Dunes to my must-do list, thanks for the tip! Indiana has some gems, just on a smaller scale.

@@SlonesWildernessExpeditions hey, also, not sure if you guys are into entry level caving, but in walker county georgia right over Tennessee Stateline there is a cave called petty johns, no charge, no tours, free camping, easy to get to off the main parking area, and it is like being in a totally different world once your 30 minutes down into it. I think the boy would really enjoy it. My daughter has some video of it on our channel " funfinding4two" if you want to check I out. Along with a bunch of waterfalls from greeter falls, Savage, falls, rock city and such. Petty johns cave is as technical as you make it, it can be calm and easy and then there are some routes that only the more experienced should be attempting.....I am also from Indiana, me and my daughter enjoy your channel and watching you guys, keep it up
