Sorry, but for meine from Germany it is good, but also negative things. The food, the drinker, not natural. The sandbath is too smal. Dont know how big the cage is, but what are these blue things? Is it paper or something like this? It ist very good, but you can do it better. In germany we have so good food for them, so you havent shops for natural food?

I feel the same way... I promise and I don't lie. We found a hamster in our apartment. I'm so confused 😕 he was just waddling across our floor. We checked with our neighbors. No one had lost a hamster. I was scared of him at first. I used my husband's gloves to pick him up. I soon learned he was as sweet and very adventurous. Where did he come from??? I ordered shoes from China???? So the running joke is... I ordered a hamster and got a pair of shoes. I bought him the biggest habitat... "Cage" they had. I don't know what to do. He chews on the upper level and has managed to chew thru one of the wires... I try to enrich his life. I'm always giving him a special treat, we hold him daily and put him his ball every day. He wants out. I can't stand to see him chewing and nashing on his cage. I think birds should be free to fly... No cages. I'm against animal captivity unless injured and are not able to be released. Look at me... I have a hamster that I have no clue where him came from and he is in a cage??? Did I mention we love him. 😕???

Terri Hester I hope you bought the hamster a large plastic tub and made a home for it, animals can live extremely happy and stress free lives in the right enclosure. They don’t have to worry about being eaten, freezing to death, or starving when they’re in your care. Whatever you do, don’t release the hamster, it WILL die
@kaykay93845 жыл бұрын
@@terrihester6356 Hi I just read this. If you read this.....are you sure he's a hamster and not a mouse? That may be why he was just wandering around your apartment. If it's a mouse, he could have been released in the wilderness somewhere, but if it's a hamster, hope you are doing your best to take care of him. I feel the same way about having animals in captivity....it's very sad because all wild animals should be free. Humans have felt entitled to do this to them, and I pray it ends, although this woman is giving her hamsters the best life possible in captivity.

I have had at least one hamster at all times since I was little and they are surprisingly good at helping you out on a hard day, whether it be their infinite curiosity or their wacky spasticness, it can help lift you up when you're feeling down. And if you get lucky enough to find one who is personable, you can hold them frequently and they'll sleep inside your shirt and stuff, which is super adorable.

Reeno I had hamsters as a child and as an adult. Their natural habitat is the desert. My sister studied biology and she had a tank just half filled with sand, she would let her hamsters play in there and they would dig and dig and burrow to their hearts content. But they didn't sleep there,, because how would you clean that? I'm not sure how anyone would clean this jungle habitat either, although it does look fun as long as everything is safe and edible.

Everyone is talking about how it's hard to clean.... This is a living creature, if you are going to take it into your home at least be willing to put out the effort to give them a great quality of life. If you are too lazy to put extra effort in then just don't get one. If your #1 concern with a pet is how easy it is for you then you clearly lack the empathy and love for them necessary to properly care for them.
@HoppingHammy6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this excellent comment! While I can understand that many people may want to minimize the work involved in caring for a pet, perhaps a pet isn't right to acquire if cleaning is that big of an issue to deal with. I also think many here might be pleasantly surprised to know that this cage is not as difficult to maintain as it might seem. :) Spot cleaning helps keep it under control, and the larger the cage, the longer it takes for a hamster to dirty it. In any case, it's every bit worth the work to see Kashi living a good life and enjoying herself. **EDIT:** Hello again all! I would like to add to the first part of this comment. I apologize if my wording sounded like I was being stuck up or on my "high horse," as a few of the comments have mentioned. That was not my intent and I should have written a better explanation to you all. I understand there are a lot of questions about cleaning this cage, so I'll try to answer them and will also attempt to answer them in an upcoming video. :) Again I apologize for how my comment might have come across. INFO: 1. Cleaning a cage this size is not the same as cleaning a small cage. The smaller the cage, the faster it gets dirty and the more often it needs cleaning. This cage only needs a bedding change about every 5-6 months, and even then it is just a partial change. 2. A hamster's tidiness can determine the work required for cleaning. For hamsters who pee and poop anywhere and everywhere, the cage will need cleaning more often. Kashi is very tidy and keeps her mess to only a couple of spots. This means the rest of the cage stays clean and dry. 3. Aspen bedding mixed with hay helps keep the cage smelling fresh. If ever I feel like it doesn't smell fresh, I will look around for areas that might need new bedding and also sprinkle some fresh hay to smell nice. 4. It isn't necessary to have a cage this size for your hamster if you don't wish to, and I'd like to clarify that you are NOT a bad pet owner if you wish to streamline how fast your cleaning gets done. :) I do think, however, that some extent of sacrifice is necessary when taking on a pet. This cage does require sacrifice during large clean outs, but it's been every bit worth the extra work to see how happy and thriving that Kashi has been.

Welcome Kashi! At long last, there is finally a hamster cutie running around in the new Rainforest themed DIY cage. 😊 It's been a long wait and many of you asked to see her reactions in the new cage, so this video shows some of that footage! I had debated for a long time on which tank to use initially. The desert tank is smaller, but the downside is that it's quite a bit harder to access for cleaning and taming. I set it up more as an extra play area, but not something that would get require daily cleaning. Depending how Kashi tames, I may change my plan for future hamsters and start them off in a smaller tank and work up. Oh, and to be honest I was also slightly impatient to have a hamster in new DIY cage. 😂 Lol! She definitely is using and enjoying all of the space and things to do!

**UPDATE For those asking about cleaning this cage, here's a little update!** kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6eyimpnl9tlqq8 I've had Kashi for over a month now. I've done some basic cleaning and tidying as needed, but it was time to do a more thorough job of it. I'll show you some sections that need it more than others, but overall Kashi hasn't really messed things up too badly. I'm finding this setup quite easy to clean and maintain so far. More updates as time goes on! :) Let me know if there's anything specific you would like to see a video on about this cage (or about anything really). Thank you for watching and I wish you a happy week!

HoppingHammy I got one question to ask. How do you clean up the droppings out of that cage? That's if you can find it.

HoppingHammy I think what’s funny is that Hamsters are like little people with OCD! Everything has to be moved to their liking and they redecorate if the style gets old and it’s the cutest thing! I had a Hamster Named Almond Joy and they told us she was a baby but later found out she had been old..so she then died ;-; Stupid Petsmart!

I was so excited when I found out you got a new hamster!!! She is adorable and will now have an amazing home! I admire how caring and attentive you are to all of your hamsters. And in answer to the question about another cage tour, I could never watch too many tours of your cages 😆! However seeing the new little hammy wasn't the only thing that made me happy, it was hearing how excited and happy YOU were! Hope you enjoy the coming years with Kashi 💜. (Sorry for the long message 😂)

I’ve already watched this video a bunch of times because I love it sooooo much!! I showed my mom because my hamster has a 20 gallon and I want to get him a 40 gallon for his 1st birthday coming up on February 11th so I’m showing my mom ur videos (and she really enjoys them) and she’s thinking about getting a 40 gallon!! Also your KZbin channel is the reason I have my hamster in a 20 gallon, why he has a proper diet, and everything you’ve helped me and him soooo much!! Also the cuteness overload in this video is so high because there’s so much cuteness!!!! Ahhhh!!🐹💕

I love this! So uplifting and inspiring. I've been researching as much as I can and I can't wait to keep and raise a hamster once I get a job and become more able in life. It would really help with my depression and anxiety. This was a delight to watch.

Aww! So happy for you HoppingHammy! I know what you mean about having missed watching a hamster. I've had bad luck with hamsters and now isn't the time for another, but someday I hope to adopt one and once more watch a fluffy bum roam around. In the meantime I get to watch little Kashi 💕🐹

Now that's a cage! In the beggining she's like in heaven with everything she has to explore, how adorable! My hammy used to do the same with the sleeping, she slept in different places. I wish I had these many options for hamsters, where I live we can't really get good stuff for them which is sad. Your hamster is adorable :)

That is so adorable! It's like a little piece of hamster paradise. Makes me wonder why all those pet stores insist on selling bright colorful hamster cages, when in reality that's completely out of their element. This cage looks more naturally accommodating for your little furry friend. Hope she lives a long healthy happy life. ♥
