I just came across your videos as I was looking for a video to turn flower pigments into paint and I'm so glad that I did! your videos radiate a rural, cottage fantasy and all of the lovely activities associated with it that we often encounter in books and movies😍

Augh, youtube hid this video from me! Luckily I thought to check why you were so quiet for myself 👀 Hildegard Von Bingen isn't alone with her assessment that hops increase melancholy in men. IIRC, this downer effect is the reason why abbeys started brewing it into beer : it should make it easier for their monks to live a celibate life. I do believe I saw this info on tumblr, so maybe take it with a grain of salt - after all, didn't tumblr simply invent an ancient greek goddess, just to sound clever when confronted with "well, who would you give the apple 'for the fairest'?" 😜 As such, I hesitate to repeat the declaration that the witch hunts were partly inspired by the beer wars between such abbeys and local midwives/ brewster women who made beer without de-horny-fying hops... after all, it's late on a sunday night and I'm entirely too lazy to google if there's any truth to it! Was your snake influenced by the embroidery course you're taking? I like your beastie a lot : it feels like a blend of the tapestry of Bayeux and some deeply stylished prehistoric drawings in caves. Very expressive of the creature's nature, imo. I was going to remark on the fact that 19th C authors, like those you typically feature in your readings, sound so longwinded to our modern ears, but I'm noticing some irony here, with my own interminable comment. so I'll just thank you for sharing your work! It's very nice to see your progress & it's soothing to listen while working on my own things. Thank you.
