www.vladtv.com - Hopsin has been open about his battle with depression, and the Pound Syndrome emcee spoke to VladTV about how he still suffers from it today, but he added that it's not as bad as when he was in his early 20s. The conversation about his depression also tied into people trolling him online around the world, and Hopsin explained that it's sometimes hard to ignore the hate.
After telling us that he "hates playing the role" of a rapper, Hopsin shared his thoughts about online beefs, and he pointed out that he's never experienced something similar in real life. Speaking more about his online persona, "The Pound" emcee said that he will never portray himself as flashy, because he believes that he's just a normal person.
Check out more of what Hopsin had to say in the above clip.

Hopsin is being himself, appears unashamed and should be unapologetic. People that call him corny, or backlash at him are just so indoctrinated by the negativity spewed on how people should be because the Powers that Be, flood the radios and influence society at such a contrast and different level of frequency. But on the real, Hopsin is spreading that focus not on himself and is thinking on the right way. No matter how corny or soft it may be, his approach imo will balance what Hip hop has been missing.... as KRS-One says, the Peace, Love, and Unity. People that say he ain't Hip hop need to remind themselves of how big the gamut Hip hop has and respect that. It ain't all about Battle Rap or bars. It's fully about expression. Keep an open mind. Respect to you Hopsin. Salute. Much love from NY.

+Jamil Santos I see what you mean man, but aren't you looking a bit too much into this? I think the guy could be genuine here, like what he said about if someone was drawing something and he was really good at it, he'd give the compliment. Or let's have another example...you meet the creator of Grand Theft Auto, you'd probably compliment him and thank him for some of these awesome videogames? that's kinda how I see it man, I think Hopsin does too.

***** haha it's all good man. I enjoy his music but I would not call myself a fan. It's just not how I see it. But whatever you say. Of course there is truth to what you say but this goes for pretty much anyone then, even celebs who actually send money to charity, cause maybe they aren't doing that because they care so much, maybe they just want to look real good for the public. If you want to live your live and always second guess things and what not, go ahead. But I would like to believe there's some good in humans too and I do believe Hopson means we'll.

agree with this point of view as well... we really do live in a society with too many people thinking that they have the right to critique you in ways that require them to know you personally and it's like if I do not know you personally how do I know that you have the right to critique anything that you may have heard about what I have going on or critique my point of view when I don't know how you really think as a human being and how your viewed in life.... how you are in the real world....etc...people have really got to get a grip on reality and realize that they are not in a position to really say anything bad about somebody else without really revealing anything about who they really are as a human being

social Media has allowed artist to exits as real humans unlike many years ago before internet and you ONLY saw the perfect persona that the entertainment industry portrayed of them and through PR shit and all that. I saw a you tube clip of Charlie Sheen waking around a Taco Bell parking lot and approached someone in the drive thru lane and asked for a lighter and said boy I've had a hell of a night drinking what are you guys up to? Like a straight down to earth person. that's why he went on those rants too cause he was tired of the media spinning everything so he decided to act a fool! they swore he was on drugs and he passed a test at the time so it goes to show when celebrities do human things

see this is why i fucks with hopsin cuz he's real. He's real in his music, and he's real in his interview. And u can tell. If you watch his interviews u see he really isn't trying to play pretend (excluding all the FV ending interviews). I mean I obviously took his side cuz I'm a fan, but in reality I wasn't there so I don't know what really was fact or opinion. But he's real. Like when he went to sway 45 for am interview he was asked to rap, cuz sway asks everbody to rap. Hopsin say's he's not prepared. and I'm pretty sure hopsin knew that sways channel is one of the most highly viewed channel, he still freestyles something strait from the top. and it wasn't a memorable verse, but I t was still decent enough. like u can tell he didn't care. He could've prepared. but he didn't. look at Token, another great rapper. He killed it in sway 45 and suddenly his fan base just blew through the roof. my point is if someone who never heard not don't song from hops in and saw h freestyling at sway they would've been probably never wanna hear button from him ever again. Hop look's like a normal cool guy u chill with and have a regular good time with. he's way to cheesy in this interview. My boy hop cannot stop smilling

+Eagle Gains His beats. He diss a lot of ppl when they're better than him. He got no bars. He might be lyrical, but most of the time, it's nothing new on the table. He will say shit like ''Mc Donald is controlling your mind''.

Eagle Gains I perso think there's nothing wrong with that nerdy shit, but to see him making a song with a type of artist you usually see on Disney is cringe worthy. Both styles don't even match at all. I'm not saying a singer and a rapper don't match since RnB is the proof that's wrong; it mixes very well with hip hop, but an artist who just sing or pop with hip hop don't really match for me. Beside, one of my favorite rapper is Tech N9ne and i don't like it when he makes a song with a Singer. It's just random and their style don't fit-in together. Again, i don't like how deep he's trying to be. Everything he says when he tries to send a message is something my mother, my teacher and all those type of adults already told me during my whole life. To hear Hopsin trying to talk to me as the voice of the teenager saying something my father would say, but in a cooler way since he is younger, well, that's just corny as hell for me. He don't have to talk about money, drugs and bitches, he don't. He don't even got to be real, but dog, i just want him to stop being so corny lol. First, he should stop talking about illuminati, mc-donald, the industry, how they're trying to control us because he is terrible at this. Tupac is one of the few who can talk about it coz he is just a better rapper, but he died because of that sadly. He should also stop talking about other rappers he don't like and the current thrend and i want him to stop being so direct. Ho yeah, he should totally stop talking about religion; totally. Hip hop is a clever art form. Being so direct on every bars is not clever at all so i don't wanna hear it. Always being direct is the corniest art-form ever.
