Artpixel mod here community may have been disrespectful, but so was most of the staff team, day or even week timeouts were handed out here and there even for the most minor rule breaks, situation was even worse when McGee was there (they were timing out people for asking questions in general). Also Lyz is a bit of a cry baby (he did a poll and the community didnt like the karelia ui change, so he got angry at them for having a different opinion on the uis) still sad to see both games getting abandoned

Btw the match doesn't end when all the points are taken. The losing team makes one last charge on a point of their choosing, which can change the course of the fight. Also the winning team gets an XP bonus if they win, and more moral and classes are available as the campaign progresses.

Something I find interesting is that dying to artillery in HB is way more frustrating than Centaura, since there you’re more accustomed to it and at worst, let out a groan of exasperation. Additionally, it’s much easier to quickly get back into the fight. Meanwhile in HB, it’s much more unlikely you’ll die to artillery which makes it more annoying knowing that you were that unlucky. Also, it takes much more time to get back to the front in HB, especially in certain maps. For your next game after Whizzbang, maybe try Lexington & Concord? They just added the War of 1812, so you’ve got a lot to look at for that game.

I mean the game is just generally not that good.. It can barely be classified as a ww1 shooter, it got abandoned one week after launch, its not that active with just about 200 players, the guns are very unbalanced along with many other things.. The only true ww1 game we ever got on roblox was trenches and soon trenches 2 [pordier at war] . Everything else either feels and looks like it was made by a 5 year old like whizzbang, far too unrealistic like centuara and entrenched and then games like HB that are just one of those copy and pasted ww2 shooters with ww1 guns and uniforms.. Sorry but if im gonna play a fast paced historical shooter on roblox im just gonna play a ww2 game dude, games like HB are just poorly done reskins of ww2 games with less fun to use guns, they are garbage. There is no reason to play any ww1 game on roblox outside of shell shock and trenches cause every other game is just ww2 with worse guns. There is a reason why trenches can still easily have one full server at all times despite the fact that the devs have stopped working on it to develop the sequel about 3 years ago, it has actual replay value cause of its intresting and unique ww1 based gameplay mechanics. HB or whizzbang on the other hand? Horizon is gonna be at a 0-15 player count by the end of the year and whizzbang im suprised even got popular in the first place. Trenches quite literally began the ww1 genre in roblox. Of course im gonna compare it to games of the same genre.

@PosterityIslesNews whilst I agree, with gameplay and then napoleonic games popularity my main issue is that reviewers won't take time out of their day to see the games future or what the devs are brewing with their community, instead the reviewer has no clue that both HB and Karelia are both stumped by the devs themselves and the reviewer says something along the lines of "oh the devs can still update the game" even though the community is voicing how it ain't getting none (this video came out a day ago and this news is well known for the game) now it could be a caveat that the reviewer made this week's ago but he does have editor notes, maybe this is a bit too much in terms of expectations on a light hearted reviewer but it gets under my skin a little.

Alright, this is some stuff about HB (ignoring the abandonment) that's worth mentioning. The gun play is alright for the most part. Rifles (bolting ones) are good and solid. Skirmishers (semi-auto) get an autoclickers dream. MGs are very good but get nabbed by incompetent folks. The officer role is the most worthwhile, considering it gets a revolver (6 shots, yet the reload is bad) and a saber, which you can cheese. The luger/ruby unlock is the only good kit you can have fun with. The mp18 (unpopular opinion) is not fun to use. It is the definition of brain dead. 1 mp18 user, and your fun is over. 2? just surrender. Map wise, the struggling player base only likes ruins for some odd reason. I guess that's it. I got informed that both HB and Karelia got their plug pulled. Sad, but oh well.

The only grudge with I have with the gunplay, is that every primary weapon for some reason has little to no bullet drop (gravity), because of this, every primary will fire in a *ALMOST STRAIGHT LINE* Every the MP18 does this. Pistols are the only reasonable guns with reasonable bullet drop and does not defy physics, unlike the MP18, which is able to fire bullets at extreme angles to the point it breaks logic.

I main the Sapper class. Although the Sapper class can't build, they sure as hell have a generous amount of demo charges. I found them useful for defending the line when the enemy advances by laying down a wall of em as well as attacking a spot where there needs to be visual cover AND many campers or enemies. I probably got the same amount of kills with those explosives as my bayonet and rifle.

The problem isn’t how they don’t keep to what they say they are, it’s how many of them there are. World War I games: Here’s a massive artillery barrage that wipes out half your team every ten seconds, virtually-monochrome colour palette, and “wow guys horrors of war amirite”. On Roblox, Centaura sits at 500-100 average players, entrenched sits at 1000 average players, and Horizon blue is at 100 - 200 average players, Frontlines sits at ~1000 players, and the two biggest behemoths of the FPS genre, Phantom Forces, and Arsenal sits at 3500 and 5000 on average. You can argue against FPS games but claiming people don't want to play them is just wrong, lol. Keep on trying to be snarky though

im tired of hearing the "roblox is too limited for good games" argument. i dont want to write a paragraph so here's some points: 1. roblox is not actually the crappy game engine you think it is. it's now a multibillion dollar corporation that has servers and staff all around the world. there's an advanced lighting system, basic shaders, an entire scripting system, everything you need for a good game. 2. you don't even need an advanced game engine to make a good game. all you need is a basic FUN formula that works as well as a decent artstyle. you don't need hyperrealism to make a good game (though you will struggle to compete with the 2 billion simualtors on the platform, thats just how it is with every game) 3. deepwoken would absolutely NOT work outside of roblox. roblox provides the players, the advertising, the servers, as well as the moderation. without the roblox platform deepwoken would be lost among the millions of indie games out there. 4. also, deepwoken isnt really that fun for most people. not even my opinion, there's a lot of things wrong with it that i'm too lazy to explain. the only reason it's successful is because it's a genuinely hard and well made game in a sea of low effort garbage that keeps children playing. behind the scenes, i don't think the game devs know what theyre doing

A game I would recommend is called empire clash it’s a 1800s 3rd person strategy game. 4 empires players choose and have to make guns cannons food while soldiers on their team have to take 10 points around the map while fighting other kingdoms. It’s currently a smaller game with only around 100-200 players usually but is very good on quality.

Empire clash is pretty boring. You have to grind with kinda boring jobs to actually be able to fight effectively. The combat is mediocre and it is super laggy. Age of warfare II does that concept far better by removing the unnecessary grind, but has less players. It is still flawed but far better.

I will agree the grind is long but the classes are meant for different types of gameplay and styles also most of the progression dose feel rewarding with the skill tree either making you better or unlocking new gameplay options. Also the combat is meant to be mastered for the most affective combat. And for the lag there are many settings you can use to reduce lag.

WW1 games definitely saw a massive growth in popularity around 2021 i think. There are of course well made ones, like Centaura, Horizon Blue, Trench Warfare (Its fun but not polished) and Entrenched to some extent, but then you have both games called Trenches, Whizzbang (which I personally hate because it just sucks ass), Trench War, and the average Centaura community member.

It's just a deathmatch generic shooter with a WW1 skin on top of it. Shell Shock actually tries to be a WW1 game even if its way less detailed or funded. Really, why keep making these WW1 shooters if you don't even want the gameplay to be like WW1? It's like making a game like Counter-Strike and having it be set in 1812.

5:14 The Berthier is actually a pretty good gun. Sure, it might have much less ammo than the Lebel, but the reload is much faster, since it reloads from 3 or 5 round clips, depending on the version.

Working the bolt to load the next round is still faster than a clip reload. Berthier is still one of my go tos in Hunt Showdown tho

Overall, horizon blue, as a 2nd rank private, its deadly to survive for most mobile, but there have been some cases were i somehow lived, and didnt get a kill, but overall, melee combat is very very common when in ornes, or the fort, and there will be times where the french army is accurate or the german army is accurate, as one time in a game, my team (the french) were holding ornes on the last point to defend for 20 minutes, germans would throw grenades, we get bombed by artillery, we often fight in melee combat in the trenches, or some machinegunner would blast me or my team into bits, until we won
