Nice using adhesive so you could use the cannon on it! Some general tips though from an experienced player: - Unless you're hitting an unarmoured spot on a machine, you'll want to draw a ropecaster either fully or at least partially. A rope will not stick if it's been tap fired and hits armour. Ropecasters will also draw faster when you're sliding! - Gain a little bit of distance before using Grapple Strike to avoid doing the jumping dance. - If you want to use spikes as traps, use the spike trap weapon technique. It takes them a second to arm, but it'll work a lot better than immediately throwing the spike normally. It will also show the trajectory of the spike when using the weapon technique. You can also use the weapon technique to hit the machines normally. - Try to hit the machine's legs when using explosives and drill spikes. It gives a chance to stagger the machine(s), but can also trigger knockdowns. Each machine type (Light, Medium, Heavy) have different stagger and knockdown thresholds. - Try to avoid dodge rolling too much. Normally (without weaves and built in armour perks), Aloy can dodge roll three times before stumbling. Slide dodging is easier and has more invincibility frames compared to the regular dodge. Slide dodge by running and hitting your crouch button (not sure what that is on PC). You can extend this by dodge rolling at the end to get just a bit more invincibility frames. I came to know later that, one can shoot blue orb for extra damage.
