Horizon Zero Dawn - All Power Cells Location guide (Ancient Armory Quest)

I keep reading people mentioning there's no ladder on that mountain to get the last cell. There won't be a ladder there until you get to that specific mission "The Mountain that Fell" as explained in the description under main video above. This is one of the last missions. There is a way to game it so that you can get power cell 4 from All mother's temple before the door opens for that specific mission. However, you can't get that last cell until the mission mentioned above.

Thank you. People are still asking about that ladder lol. Not being able to get that last power cell and then the ancient armor until the game is almost finished, was obviously by design. Ancient Armor is a pretty powerful armor, as it repels a tremendous amount of damage (fire, freeze, electrical, explosive, etc.). Without that armour, defending the Nora against the robot invasion, and then defeating the robots defending HADES, would have been nearly impossible for me. If you had access to that armor earlier would have made a lot of the bosses too easy.

ADDED TIP: If you find that the door is closed at the ALL MOTHER location (power cell #2 location on this guide), you should see a crawl space on the left of the door. crawl through it where the candles are and you should be able to reach the other side of the door and grab the power cell.

I accidentally stumbled upon the ruins that had the armor and unknowingly had 3 power cells to use on the door. I have to find two more. The crappy part is now I have to figure out which power cells I already have 😭

It might be overwhelming for players who focus on the story and just complete misions as fast as they can, but for players who likes to explore de world and fell themselves inside this HZD universe (listening to all audio tapes as soon as they find it, reading all the ancient ones notes, making sure they don't skip any room before going forward, etc.) they pretty much collect all of them without even trying. It was my case! :) Anyways, for both kind of players this tutorial is amazing and very handy

I finished the game and the gate to all mother didn't open. But there is a secret passage to go inside to find the power cell. If you look to the left of the door, there is a vent to sneak through in order to get in the door. Like so other people can see.

I really hate the fact that Aloy would always grap the lowest thing on a jump. The ladder is right there, but she grabs a small ass knob 10 feet lower and make you climb up to the ladder. It always makes me think I missed the jump.

There's a glitch to get the 5th power cell earlier in the game with no ladder. Took me about 5 minutes to successfully jump up. No need to wait until close to the end of the game.

Are you talking about the fifth power cell at GAIA Prime, at minute 17:30 of the video? If so, a ladder will not be there until you get to one of the last missions in the game, "The Mountain That Fell." I found this out the hard way when I went to that spot before that mission started and there was no ladder. Once that mission starts and you make your way there, the ladder will spawn.

I tried to get all of these early on (right around the time I went to Meridian) and 3 of the power cells are not accessible. Makers end won't work unless you do the quest. Gaia Prime won't work unless you do the quest. And Grave hoard won't work unless you do the quest... Kind of a bummer, you basically can't get this armor until you're practically done with the game. Would have been fun to be OP that early.

okay wtf i remember collecting the 4th power cell when i was doing the main mission and when i go back there it aint there cause i remember collecting it but now it says 2/3 collected

Thanks especially for the Makers End cell. Couldnt remember the way up what so ever and you were the only one who showed this. Got all 5 cells now for the end fight!

(HZD PC player here) Bless you for doing this. It would have been NICE TO KNOW about the power cell when I was actually completing the Maker's End mission (on my own, I'll note), and frankly I'm not sure what I would have done w/out this walkthrough to, yes, help me remember how to get up to Ted's office, since I no longer had a mission marker to guide me there. :-) Also, for other HZD PC players who might show up here: I made, uh, a misstep about 80% on my way back up the tower, died horribly, and found myself all the way back at the campfire outside the complex. Walk carefully.

Thank you very much for the video. It was thorough and your descriptions helped out a lot. When I completed the game I only had 3 of the power cells and I wanted the armor before I did the DLC. I never would've looked for the one in Makers End, not in a million years, since all the others were in ruins. Again, thanks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Maker's End was the last one I needed! Funnily enough I'm only getting this AFTER the main story but at least it will be helpful if I ever want to do NG+!!!
