All this still works, I haven't done the second update so I don't know if that has anything to do with it (I did the first update already though). So as of November 9th this all still works! I had forgotten how much fun this game is. I really like Forbidden West, but it feels more like a video game to me, this has always felt tighter, and more like a well-crafted novel. Great storytelling, visually and WITHIN the game environment as well. Forbidden West leans a bit more sci-fi and is much more polished of course, and I love it too, but this game tickles some special nerves for me. Speaking of, I saw YOU in one of your videos recently, that was the first time I've seen you! I'd already fallen in love with your voice, you uh, happen to be single? :D :P

I first played this on base ps4. Then I got the ps4 pro and continued it on that. Then I got the remaster and played it on ps5. Then I got the ps5 pro and started playing on that. I've played 4 versions of the same game and I know I'm not the only one😅😅

IMO, the Shield Weaver Armor is just pure aesthetic and the Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept is much better with their auto healing and 4 coil slots if im not mistaken.

It doesnt make it better. Shield weaver gives you SECOND full auto regenerate health bar. And Banuk Werak just keeps one that auto recharges. Not to mention that these coils are not really good in Zero Dawn. Id rather have whole new health bar than few percent of armor against something.

@@Phillip-Gvvmy personal opinion is that the problem with Shiledweaver (which has already been mentioned) is, even with a second regenerative health bar, once that shield is gone, Aloy has no resistances (the outfit has no mod slots without modding the game) This is likely fine and hardly noticeable on some difficulty levels. Other difficulty levels can make that shield evaporate in an instant and Aloy is exposed with no protection. It becomes risky to employ and then a strategic choice of which battles to use it for. It’s handy for avoiding fall damage. Now do I wear it for aesthetic reasons when I want to? Absolutely!

Hard part is getting to Gaia Prime at low level. And I wouldn't glitch into Carja territory. If you do don't take any quests there or you may break the game logic. I have done my ultra hard playthrough with shield weaver, it's definitely not useless as people keep saying.

I got it just before the final fight - as it is intended, imho. I finished the main game today without using the DLC weapons with 100% on UH, and it felt great again. I think it's way easier than Forbidden West (especially easier than the Arena). The only thing that took a little longer was the Thunderjaw Hunting Grounds: The Ravagers always started attacking each other instead of the Thunderjaw. That was a quite annoying ... 🤣

I have been trying to scale the Gaia Prime wall now for two hours I can’t get it to work. Watched other videos showing how. All explain the same. Every time I start my jump the camera brings Aloy back into view and I seem to be jumping into an invisible wall. Over and over practicing and tweaking and same result every time.

Thanks for the guide. A lot of riding around, but I got the armour. Only, the game's not giving me any XP for completing the mission. Don't suppose you know why or a way to fix it do you? I did a double check at the end of this video and I don't think you got the XP either. Considering how thorough you are with your videos, a guide on how to either avoid this bug or a work around so you can get the XP would be great. 8K XP super early is a big chunk to be missing out on.

You probably should.have shown the route to take to bypass all the machines on the bitter climb, including the stormbird. Going to GAIA prime early means you are low level, and sneeking/bypassing would be very helpful.

My plan is to get the shield weaver armor then go to the frozen wilds. Buy bluegleam map (need to hunt for animals to pay for it). With the map - there are 38 bluegleam to pick up... With doing a few quests up here I will have 58 bluegleam to get all 3 bows and carja blazon armor plus pick up 3 weaves and 4 coils. I say Striker bow first, then champion, with powershot last.

7:50 Unfortunately I ran into a problem with the combination. The panel reads, from top-down, 90, 270, 360, 450, 630. That translates to 90, -90, 0, 90, -90. That did not work for me. What worked for me was 0, 180, 90, 0, 180, on the original PC version. Was there a note posted somewhere as to how to translate the panel (that I missed)? _I thought I put this out in case someone ran into this as well._

If you have a ps5 with disc drive you can just buy a used ps4 disc of the game. In an earlier video Arktix explained that the upgrade pass INCLUDES the Frozen Wilds DLC. So you don't even need to buy the complete edition. Here in Germany I saw used Zero Dawn PS4 discs for 8 or even 5 € on amazon, ebay and whoever sells used video games. So I would say your chance of getting it for less then 10$ so for 20$ with the upgrade pass are pretty great. I do have the very first ps4 disc version and had no problems but I did buy Frozen Wilds so I can't tell if it is true that FW is included in the upgrade pass but as far as I am concerned: If Arktix says it's included I believe he checked that and don't have a reason to doubt it.

When i've first played it on Normal difficulty i've found good weaves and armor early. I was invincible for frost and ranged damage, just had to change armor for the specific enemies. This shield armor is technically worse since it can be broken. And on Ultra Hard it's worse than regular as well. So i'm not sure why people like it so much.

I prefer it not because of the overpower. I use it because I don't like having to maintain an inventory of berries. I prefer it because it is self regenerative. Thanks, glad they didn't patch this out.

There is so many good things about this that have nothing to do with like cheating and everything to do with exploring. Also, it’s a single player game so I don’t know why people play as if they’re going to get some sort of brownie points for any of this. Ultra hard story mode armor, no armor, set a trap shoot an arrow you’re the only one playing. But personally, I love sliding underneath a thunderjaw while it steps on me and shooting up its butt. I’m a girl of simple pleasures…

Interesting. There have been some issues with HZDR crashing on PC, but HFW is highly stable at this point, so I suspect it’s something with your PC. If you have your CPU and/or RAM overclocked I’d suggest trying to remove those overclocks for a bit and see if it’s stable.
