Horizon Zero Dawn Review 2022. In this review I hope to make a case for a game which I actually put down when it first released. Is Horizon Zero Dawn worth playing in 2022? Should you play it before Horizon Forbidden West? This review is based on my time with Horizon Zero Dawn on PS5. I finally took the time to play it properly and perhaps you should take another look if you missed it on release.
Horizon Zero Dawn is available on PC, PS4, PS4 Pro and on PS5 with 60 fps.

I'm waiting to replace my PC and I picked this up because it would still run well and I was pleasantly surprised. Most of the things I struggled with sound like yours, I found the climbing felt clunky, dated, and just not on par with games like Tomb Raider that just felt good. I used the mounts maybe twice because the steering was awful. It might be better on a console but keyboard and mouse was awkward.

I don't. Rost hasn't told her anything in 20 years? They don't ever speak? He's really held out that secret this long? The gameplay isn't that good either. Clunky, slow. Enemies move in so quickly and even the light attack is quite slow.

@@assordante2205​⁠ Rost doesn’t know the info, he was given her as a baby and told to raise her. He loves her, but he’s also taciturn, outcasts aren’t allowed to talk to anyone (she’s the exception as he’s tasked to raise her) - and like all Nora he’s superstitious about the ancient “metal world” so they never visit them. He helps you train for the ‘proving’ to get answers from age 6 onward So not sure what you thought he should have told her but didn’t. As far as gameplay, of course what everyone finds fun is subjective so of course if you didn’t like it you didn’t (shrug)

Probably about 20 hours ish for the main story. No idea about Forbidden West yet. Hoping it'll be a bit longer

From a story perspective you might need to...but I've just finished making a video to show how the new one runs on ps4 (going live in the next hour or so) ...and the new game gives you a nice little story wrap up at the beginning to bring you up to speed if you're not too worried about the story side of things

I picked up the game a few days ago due to the hype of the new game and I'm going through zero dawn now. I'm taking your advice and given how invested I get into a story, Im playing this as a prerequisite for the next installment (Forbidden West). Hopefully forbidden West doesn't disspoint, the open world is still viable in 2022 which is shocking given that it was released 5 years ago.

Aloys constant talking to herself got pretty irritating. But the combat graphics and story are phenomenal and help make up for it

It really pisses me off when "game journalists" can't even be bothered to pronounce the names of the characters correctly. It's not as if they didn't say her name 10000 times before the proving(which I haven't even gotten to yet).

This game feels like persona 5 to me. Probably good and well regarded, but I so can't be bothered to sink so much time into it. Not when there's other games that I haven't finished yet. God of War, spider-man, ff7 remake. Shit, I will even replay control before I feel like I want to play this.
