I don’t think there has ever been an attraction that has captivated so many people. I’m lucky to have ridden Horizons at least a dozen times. The optimistic scenes of humanity in the future have followed me my whole life, and to this day I use that as a benchmark for the world I want to live in.

Perhaps the CEO should invest the capital in WDW instead of ventures like Disney Singapore? Orlando is the flagship of WED's vision and should reflect quality and his philosophy at all times - it's an American Icon and should be treated as such.

I have an on ride POV of the pavilion, if you would like it? I miss this ride so much Brayden...I still can't believe everything is gone from EPCOT...I would rather see it return and get rid of Mission Space...a claustrophobic ride in place of HORIZONS and a roller coaster instead of revamping the UNIVERSE OF ENERGY? Replacing JOURNEY INTO IMAGINATION for an "Inside Out" Ride? Replacing the LIVING SEAS with a Finding Nemo Ride? Norway is gone and you replaced it with a FROZEN ride? What drugs or Alice potion are you drinking Disney? Have you ate too much of the magic mushroom that you have lost all common sense of reality and reasoning? Sorry Brayden... went off on a tangent; my rant is over, but if you want that POV ride, just message me here...I listen to these daily while I write my book.

Rode it a lot of times as a kid, and have watched some of your videos about Epcot. It's the Disney ride I miss the most, and I would imagine if you were able to experience this in all its glory you'd feel just as cynical as I do towards the direction of Epcot lol. It was wonder hope and excitement for an amazing future, something that you don't find anywhere in a ride anymore. It was the best.

I got to ride it one last time in January 1998, a year before they decommissioned it. When I returned two years later, I stood in front of the missing "Horizons" and was heartbroken. I had no idea they had killed it. Even 25+ years later, Epcot has not equaled the sense of wonder that "Horizons" brought.

That waltz version of "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" from 11:35 to 17:21 is probably the best part in all of this. It took my YEARS to figure out that's what the song was until I started piecing elements of the music to the cues in the lyrics of the song.

@@terrortower2 J.P.L STUDIOS Hey there! Meant to say this previously but didn't because it might've sounded like a criticism.... coz I do SIMPLY LOVE this loop mix! ! It's outstanding!!! Especially the omnimax shuttle launch mix around the 28 minute mark. My one and only gripe however is the transition into Space from the undersea resort music. If only it blended and kicked in on the Space piece like it does on the other KZbin tribute you may have seen by RetroElectoville at 27 minutes and 12 seconds. Asides that, yours is vastly superior in the blend of all the pieces for darn sure! Please do check out the point I mean on the other video if you're not sure what I'm on about. Space starts absolutely on the button with the end of the previous. Be great to hear your thoughts. I hope you don't mind me referencing another KZbin channel on line with your own fabulous work! ! 👍👍👍 PS Other tribute: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jovEhmCFptRgp9U Keep up your own great work 👌💙 O.O.K

When you ride the Carousel of Progress, you are treated to the same rendention of “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” coming from the record player. Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls All of us at EPCOT Center are glad to have you as our guests today. We welcome you and hope you find your day with us to be a most enjoyable one Walt Disney was a dreamer and a do-er A man who cared about the world and it’s problems He believed that people could develop solutions to problems if equipped with information, technology and opportunity EPCOT Center has been created to showcase prototype concepts and technologies that may someday, serve people everywhere. This is the essence of EPCOT Center A collective endeavor: By People, For People in the hope for a better world From all of us of the Disney Family we hope you enjoy your stay in EPCOT Center And now we ask for your safety, and those around you, that you walk slowly and carefully to your first destination. This should go to all Disney Corporate sponsors and anyone that wants to end what Walt Disney has envisioned before his death in 1966 and read this out or show a clip of this speech. EPCOT was fine as it was in 1982...all they had to do for all these rides was to update them every five years, give the Animatronics a make over, keep changing it with history and new technology...that's what they have done with Spaceship Earth and today it's better than ever with Dame Judi Dench. I know I sound like a moron, but I do miss "Horizons" so much because it was supposed to be a follow up to the "Carousel Of Progress" in Disney World. I'm angry that will change The "Universe of Energy" into something it's not "Journey Into Imagination" will also be a shell of its former self- they are turning both attractions into Movie Rides- Universe of Energy may or will become "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Journey Into Imagination will be "Inside Out" with Figment getting his own 4D movie in the Magic Eye Theatre.
