After watching all your videos regarding to M.2 SSD, 1. Check motherboard compatibility that is supporting M.2 Slot or not. 2. If M.2 slot available on motherboard check the Gen., keys, SATA port or PCIe or NVMe port. 3. Then check bios support NVMe or not. 4. after checking all this, buy the compatible M.2 SSD. 5. NVMe is totally a different identifier. It's an ssd interface similar to UFS. It doesn't have anything to do with Sata vs Pcie. It just so happen that pc/laptop nvme ssds are design to only be connected on m.2 pcie because pcie have higher speed transmission than sata.. NVMe isn't a socket nor a connector pin.

Iam a NETWORK SECURITY (Cyber Security) officer... I have no issues with the budget issues ... SSD is better for install operating system. It makes your system start up faster than operating system installed on hdd. Hdd is good for storage only. Your question is like asking which cuisine is better, Indian or Chinese. Both are good in their own way.

Kuch laptops aise bhi hote hai jaha PCIe Gen3x2 NVMe (not AHCI) slot hota hai, aise laptops ke liye mujhe lagta hai NVMe (PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4) wale SSDs le sakte hai. Market me PCIe Gen3x2 NVMe SSDs hota hai ya nahi, mujhe nahi pata, kyu ki mujhe toh nahi mila e-commerce websites me. I think Gen3x2 NVMe slot can support Gen3x4 NVMe SSD. Only instead of 32 Gbps, it will run at 16 Gbps.
