Y'know, I remember simierski's Hornby vs. Bachmann videos from way back too! But the fact that you and EngineShedStudios managed to bring back a good majority of the original script back is amazing too.

I like the Hornby thomas more, but my main issues are with more how both brands manufacture their model trains Hornby uses already available motors along with things like flywheels for a smoother and more powerful experiences that don’t cost much to replace Bachmann chooses to make their own motors, which can cause them to be weaker than the Hornby models. This also results in the motors only being available through their own website, meaning you’ll have to pay a bit more than a hornby motor as bachmanns are made in house. From my own personal experiences, my bachmann thomas has broken down and started having problems after around 3 weeks of operation, while my hornby model is still trucking along just fine.

You’ve done an amazing job memorising every piece of dialogue seen from the original lost video made by Ricky from ThomasTankMerch. In all seriousness, I’ve always been a Hornby type of person.

I seriously gotta admit that I personally think both models are actually equally good! In fact, it officially inspired me to create a specifically wonderfully great model that officially combines the official 2 brands by usin' the body from the Hornby range alongside the official whistle from the Bachmann range alongside officially installing speed activated DCC sound effects usin' different types of decoder sockets as featured in several other KZbin videos by Sam's Trains that officially are actually 1OO% accurate to the show's own officially well-known complete full CGI animation era includin' Thomas the L B S C Railway O-6-O E 2 class tank Engine's own official whistle! In fact, it officially inspired me to also apparently create model railway versions of all the rolling stock featured in the show that certainly WOULDN'T be complete w/o a specifically specific 3D printed in a SLIGHTLY lighter weight due to rubbery textured shunter's pole to basically go actually couple him to the rolling stock from the U K'S own official railway system including his own officially well-known pair of faithful passenger coaches known as Annie & Clarabel alongside multiple goods trains with completely complete ease! As a specifically wonderfully great bonus, the headlamps for each of the characters with no doubt will be operated wirelessly via Bluetooth like 1 of the pairs of headphones for my blue tablet SIMPLY meaning that constantly fiddling with the wires WHILST arranging the headlamps for certain headcodes certainly WON'T even be necessary!!! Besides, saves time on gettin' the headlamps wired up in each headcode anyway!!

Well if I'm basing my decision on which one to get on performance it sounds like Hornby is the right call.

Hornby because it’s max amount of coaches it could pull is 11 coaches, While Bachmann can pull 7.

I like Hornby ones the most (not all of the produced models). But I would love if Bachmann could make RWS versions of the characters using real engines as an alternate line on their catalgue now that Hornby has left the Thomas marquet.

I like the model of Hornby as being based on a real engine is cool but the Bachmann colors and paint application is a lot better. It also seems to be made out of better materials but that could just be the lighting making it look like that.

I want to see one of these type of videos for Edward, James, Percy, Toby and Diesel as both have there good and bad models from each company and yes I know it's a remake but there's still potential.

Kinda have to go for the Hornby Thomas. I like how the prototypical appearance with his face looks. Currently looking into getting the 2016 iteration of Thomas that has an updated face and brighter blue paint.

Hornby. same goes for the majority of the range that they made. The only real stinkers are Emily and Edward, though while the Bachmann Edward looks better it's an awful puller.
