It is so beautiful as an animation, but so sad when you know what it is. In my opinion, i think that Hornet still despise the Knight at that moment. Because even if she has grown to not care, she still loved her mother.

i think hornet definitely hated the knight at first, knowing what their journey would require them to do. that's why she fought them. but at this point, she's been beaten by them twice. she's seen their strength and commitment to stopping the infection one way or another, and i think she's mature and composed enough to understand that it must be done. it hurts to knowingly allow the knight to kill her mom, sure, but i personally think that at this point she's accepted that it's for the greater good.

I think by the end, Hornet loves her brother. I think the final cutscene in ending 3(true ending) hurt her to see him gone, her last family member… I really hope Hornet’s story in Silksong is her going to this religious kingdom to learn more about void, to hopefully bring her brother back. If so…. We may just see Ghost again… as a boss fight…

I always wondered why Hornet just let you kill her mother. I know it's for the good of those who are still alive, and it's not like Herra could do Hornet any good at that point, but she sometimes feels like a bit of an only-plot-related character and in moments like those, kinda just feels like she's only there to move you in the right direction. I hope Silksong gives her a stronger will to do stuff

Hornet already wandering the Hallownest for her entire life, she's been studying the history and even train herself to become a warrior. But she knew, no matter how hard she try she doesn't have the key to cure Hallownest state. It's maturing her. You can already tell how much she know about the binding, the birth place and the Siblings, even asking the Knight to slay the Radiance instead replacing THK. From that knowledge she's already know there's no option if she want the Hallownest to be cured, even if Herrah need to be slain then so be it. I mean, she's have more of her Father personality the Pale King when it come to sacrifice things lmao.

People talk about the tragedy of the Sealed Vessel all the time, but never the tragedy of Hornet. Her mother practically died when she was very young, and at some point later so did her mentor, father and likely colleague. Worst of all, she took it upon herself to murder her own half-half-siblings for the greater good. To be able to bear all that without turning suicidal or embracing complete apathy takes an extremely strong will. Glad to see this subject approached in such an amazing animation.
