Revenge? Nonononono, Hornet King here is merciful. He'll take nests he's removed and TRANSPLANT them on his own property, letting them live in peace until they naturally expire with the seasons. Wasps and hornets are smart enough to recognize faces, so they quickly come to realize he's no threat to their babeys. The only reason this nest didn't get that treatment was logistics, considering the size and shape of the thing, there wouldn't be a good place for him to put it.

Seeing those chickens snarfing down those babies REALLY gives ne a nice warm fuzzy feeling!!! I LOVE IT!!!! One question tho, can you tell the queen from the rest of her sisters?? It'd REALLY suck to have HER escape with all the other workers and manage to start ANOTHER nest later that evening!!!! Is she bigger than the rest of the little flying assholes?? Do they protect her to end like bees do?? I know THEY don't do the bee dance to tell the workers where there's pollen etc...... her ONLY job is to make MORE workers....... kill HER and the nest would eventually die off from lack of larvae right?? RIGHT!!??? I guess you COULD just capture her and let the rest die off...... our nests never get to be as big and elaborate like bees nests...... I'm just really curious about your other removals...... have you ever thought of just catching the queen and letting the nest just die off naturally!!??? Or would one of the workers mutate into a queen and keep it alive???*

I tried blowing up ants with acetylene explosion from carbide, but it just stuns them. They even survived sulphuric acid. Insects are bloody tough. Fire works, but I wouldn't exactly pour a can of diesel fuel on top of all those wires. One thing that could work would be to cover the hole with a pice of cloth or mesh too small for them to get through and tie it well enough to make it tight, so they starve eventually. The yellow foam for sealing holes in buildings should also work, unless it catches fire from the wires. But that would leave the hive, larva, etc, to rot and eventually drop in the water, so removing the hive was the best option.
