I marched SCV that year. Having Blue Devils' hornline play their ballad for us a few times that year was one of the highlights of my drum corps experience... Unbelievable

The 1991 Devils hornline is positively insane - that baritone section, despite only being 16 strong, sounds rich and wonderfully in-tune.

I was Cavies '91. I'm so glad to start seeing our music and shows preserved. A magical time in our lives. Having Phantom Regiment, which I had friends in, play into us at the Finals was phenomenal. Still, you have to remember it is the music with the motion. If it was simply park + wail, I could fully agree with the suggestion implicit here. But history is history, and we didn't close the gap. Star won.

Agreed. I don't like the Star show but I understand why they won. The Cavies show? Absolutely beautiful all-around. My favorite that year by a kilometer :)

I'm surprised Dutch boy didnt make finals. They had one amazing show that year and it seemed to be better designed then their 1990 show
