84 Devils wasn't Steve Lenane. He had solo at the end of "Latin Implosion". The solo here was the blind haired guy.

This is very interesting and thanks for the time and effort. I can't help but wonder who might be 11th on this list---maybe Dmitri Shostakovich ??

Man did you see 74 SCV put their hands on the guy next to them? Why did they have to do all that dancing around? Back in my day we just drummed and didn’t have to do all that showy nonsense.

You didn't even mention Blue Rock, one of the all time greats, they won the 1968 US Open and the1971 National Dream Contest in Jersey City.

The poster said ACTIVE corps. I don't believe Blue Rock is active. My friend Joe Marrella did a stella job with the BR drum line.

@@DV-mq5fv Garfield ( The Cadets) and Boston Crusaders remain the oldest active corps, not Blue Rock you're correct. I mentioned Blue Rock because in their short existence from approx. 1957 to 1975, 1960 becoming a jnr. corps then DCI, they were always among the best corps in the country. National Championships with the 1968 US Open and the 1971 Dream Contest.

I had just got back home from overseas, (Spain) off active duty to USNR Seabees, and started to attend shows again and saw the first 4 shows on this video ! Used the GI Bill, went back in the Army and made it a great career and excellent retirement benefits $$$ and VA ! My brother and I played with the Kenosha, WI Kingsmen for many years, one of the first all age corps.

The Muchachos got screwed with prelim performance placement. They were on super early and scoring was low as judges didn’t know where to place them as all the better corps were on later in day. See finals result, then see day after as they beat everyone including champion Vanguard. DCI hated Chachos and their Director
