I’m my pond it for me£ a huge mass and the plant under the rest started to,die off , so be careful if light is cut off by its rapid growth

Every time I get hornwort it explodes and I have to scoop most of the dead plant out. Beautiful plant but so messy

Hornwort is a beautiful plant, but it can be messy when it falls apart. It can be frustrating having to scoop out all the dead bits! These steps can help keep your Hornwort healthier and less messy in the tank. Avoid sudden temperature changes: Hornwort is sensitive to shifts in water temperature. Keep the tank temperature stable to reduce stress on the plant. Moderate lighting: Too much light can cause the plant to shed its needles, so make sure the light is not too intense, but also not too weak. Adequate nutrients: Make sure the water has enough nutrients. You can use liquid fertilizers to support the plant’s growth and prevent it from breaking apart. Avoid strong water flow: Hornwort is delicate, so strong currents in the tank can cause it to break up. Try placing it in an area with lower water movement. Regular trimming: If the plant grows too quickly, trimming it regularly can prevent it from becoming too dense and falling apart.
