Idk but moments like that leave a bitter taste in my mouth. They are doing this for content and fun, but they are still adults, and if a DM screamed at me like that I would ask him what the fuck is wrong with him. If there is no way for your players to leave a situation, just explain to them there is no way to leave a situation and don't throw a fit about it. You guys might disagree with me, but in the end this is his job and acting like this feels utterly unprofessional imo. Sometimes he seems to have a bit of a god complex.

@veritas I think Byron is real player and willing to commit. However the con of this is the rpg he tries to take control and boundaries a little too far to let the DM play out the actual game. Its normal for most players just needs to find a better balance and I think he is immensely doing better than his DnD appearance imo. The pro of this is that Byron is one of the few active guests that does go out of way to add to game play which is refreshing vs most of them them tend to be passive.

To me the VLDL crew is just as funny as the main rocket beans DnD group (german) and I enjoy every single second of both pen and paper partys. Even the "one shots" of both groups are pure pleasure, with the longer episodes being perfect comedy for me. You people never seize to amaze me or make ma laugh out loud on a regular basis 🤣🤣

Its pretty neat Rob went with simple classical monsters most of us know but did a great job of describing why they are still very scary if you actual saw this creatures in real life. Its a shame most modern horror movies feel that over top special effects make horror and just gross things without setting up any great story or interesting twists. They begin to feel the same.

Really hate reading comments bad mouthing Rob. He's doing an amazing job and he has the patience of a saint. The reason I could see him he lashing out was because its probably a time issue. We as viewers always want longer videos but who knows what's going on BTS. It could be they only have less than 2 hour window to set up and film for each session so Rob knows if he keeps letting them not progress the story then more delays and it will affect later scenes. They could also be filming like 4 other things that day so knows they cant keep that gag of wanting to leave before dinner going forever. He knows these guys way more than we do so he knows that if he doesn't get strict with them then they will keep bantering. He also knows that banter will happen every scene. So he does stuff for a reason and I seriously think if they truly didnt like Rob they wouldn't be doing all of these DND campaigns or they would be trying to get other DM to film stuff and slowly move away. They are friends and people need to stop trying to spread misinformation around

You can learn from your mistakes but you can also learn from your successes. A mistake tells you "do it differently next time" but a success tells you "keep doing this". Both are valuable. I think people tend to overstate the usefulness of making mistakes and understate, or outright ignore, the usefulness of doing things right. That view of Rob's DM screen is beautiful. You guys spoil him. It's sad to see that Ben isn't in this. He would be amazing rolling as low as possible. One more thing I want to mention is that I adore the range of sounds and voices Rob can produce. That scream he did was chilling (and the caption very apt).
