This is just a kids programme...but it makes me smile from ear to ear. If you haven't checked out this show before, then please do. You'll make me a lot happier knowing that such great writing/acting/comedy doesn't go unnoticed....even though it's "just for kids" :)

Agree. I had to listen to this, Charles Darwin and the Greek Thinkers a few times before I really appreciated how good they are. The exception is the RAF song, loved that the first time I heard it.

Actually, back then, most English people pronounced "r"s the way Americans do today, so the Pilgrims' accents would've sounded more American than English. I don't think they stepped off the Mayflower talking like a bunch of New Yorkers, though.

I live in the city where the pilgrims left from Holland (Leiden). but the only memorial thing of it in the city is a plaque on the church. further was thanksgiving also a kind of the 3 October party from leiden (the party where we celebrate we were freed from the spanish in the 80 years war) they took the party with them and made it thanksgiving.
