I can just imagine a horror movie where, if a character like Manly shows up, it turns into dark comedy instead. Casually finding a cave in an apartment? Reacts calmly and just casually explores it.

a movie kind of like that exist it’s called Bad Ben and you might remember Manley played a parody game of it not too long ago but yea the character reacts pretty nonchalant and more annoyed by the weird stuff then scared by it and is kind of dumb and stubborn about staying.

Mainly in the way where they even died and reset multiple time to experience literally every possibility rather than having a cliché protagonist status to always survive. I am more bothered by the inefficient floorplan of the apartment than anything else. There is so much space that seems to just be behind walls that have no obvious function than to make the place smaller than it needs to be. Anyone who would live in such a place is obviously crazy to start with, so the fact they think there are monsters in the walls is no surprise at all.
