Glad to hear you thought it was alright, I'm planning to see it on Sunday. I'll go in open minded but hopefully I enjoy it more than the first film. You brought up how alien and the silence of the lambs are both great films which hardly feature their iconic monster, but another great example of that would be Jaws

Jaws is another awesome example of that too, I think the shark only had a whopping 4 minutes of screen time! And yeah I think you will definitely enjoy this Nun movie more than the first one. Still has a lot of problems, but I dug that third act. Thanks for watching, dude!

Fantastic Review! I literally just got out of seeing this like 25 seconds ago lmao, and I thought it was another mess. Was a bit more enjoyable than the first film, but not by much though those last 30 minutes are pure horror goodness.

great review! I myself was never a big fan of the conjuring universe, but did like conjuring 1 and 2. Never saw the first nun after hearing the huge amount of negative reviews it got. I will watch it and go to see this afterwards!

Just letting you know, they recap the events of the first Nun movie in the sequel so you don't have to force yourself to watch that slog of a movie if you don't want to haha. But this one is definitely a step up from that first film, prepare yourself for that third act craziness. Thanks for watching!

Honestly the first movie I was not a huge fan of I may need to rewatch it but I’m glad to hear that this was an improvement the trailer makes it look promising so I’ll have to check this one out great review man

Haha I honestly think rewatching the first one might sway you against seeing the sequel, I think that first movie is so bland and forgettable. But I definitely had more fun with this new one than I was expecting! Let me know if you end up seeing it. Thanks for watching, dude!

Just got back from seeing this movie. Omg, I LOVED IT. I had my expectations in check of course. I’ll def be getting a copy when it comes out. I also probably missed some cool visuals since I had my eyes closed a couple of times haha

I do luv that actress (in a professional way) and luv her performance and the movie The Final Girls, 100% underrated. Go watch it. Looking forward to A Murder in Venice too

Hey thanks for the kind words, Bill! I've been working overtime to make sure these reviews get a little bit better with every go. 3 stars is a fine score in my mind! Basically means I enjoyed my time with it for the most part, but it's nothing we haven't seen before and I'll probably never give it a rewatch. Curious to see if you agree with me on that after you check it out. And couldn't agree more, LOVE The Final Girls...And even though I haven't been thrilled with those first two Poirot movies the Venice entry is getting some good buzz. @@SullyStreams you know who debuted well as an actress in horror? Madeline McGraw in The Black Phone by Scott Derrickson. She was phenomenal and that movie had a great 70s vibe. Scott is local to Denver and got to watch Sinister with him in an audience where he was mic’ed up and doing live directors cut insight while we watched the film. It was awesome!!

@@billcoder8202 wow I am wildly jealous of that experience! I have been saying for almost a decade now that Sinister pound for pound is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen, it really got under my skin for a long time. Then that study came out recently that people’s vitals were monitored while they watched a bunch of horror movies, and Sinister made them panic the most. Side note - Madeleine’s sister, Violet McGraw, was the little girl in M3gan. Super talented family!

I liked it. I know many hated the first one but, I really loved that one probably more than this one. I think with this one sound wise and score wise it wasn’t there as much. There were many jumps area and the last 30 mins it goes full throttle. Even though it’s a little bit slower in parts I would give it a positive score.

Yeah I’m definitely one of those people that is pretty unimpressed with the first movie, but I thought this one was a big improvement. That last 30 minutes is worth the price of admission for me even though the first two acts can be a slog. Thanks for watching, dude!

I'm not a fan of the conjuring movies. I think the nun was the last one I watched, and I had onr of those...why the hell am I still watching these movies moments. I doubt I'll ever watch another one. I'll just catch your video on whatever nonsense they pump out next. LoL Great video as always.

Solid review, Sully. Zoinked? I’ve never heard that phrase, but I like it. Sully Original? I think this one is still a skip for me. The Conjuring universe has built up enough good will, but this one just didn’t look super compelling. As far as what’s the best in the series, I think, the original Conjuring and Conjuring 2 are the best. How bout you?

I like the mystery the original sets up though lol and when she spat the blood of Christ in valaks face hahaha how could he come back from that, but thank u for the review I don’t really have high expectations out of a sequel to a spin-off nun horror movie I’d rather be watching anything but ngl. nothing out tho.. original conjuring was fantastic until it was watched a 100x the 3rd Annabelle movie is like my fav just cause of how stupid everyone is and all the cool ghosts

I'm glad to hear this isn't as bad as the original. Apparently, although the first Nun is the worst reviewed movie in the franchise, it somehow is the highest grossing....which explains why this was made. I'll be seeing it tonight, so here's hoping I end up liking it too.
