Surprisingly, I have almost all of these on the Fandango at Home (I'll buy anything I have the slightest interest in when they drop to $5) . I haven't seen very many of them, though. I'm tip-toeing through some horror from time to time. It's great to see Pickle again. She is so professional in refusing to break the fourth wall. What a star! Thanks for the suggestions. Hi Steve. I'm happy to hear you're slowly chipping away at your horror titles. Some are just dumb fun while others are totally traumatizing. I do try to steer folks away from things that are just way too over the top for anyone who isn't a crazy horror person. I really believe everyone should go at their own pace. Pickle is a tough cookie, especially when she's tired. She'll never break the fourth wall. 😂😂😂 It's chipmunk and rabbit chasing season combined with playing in the hose water so she's exhausted. “Pickle Approved” - love it! Jaws is fantastic! I really enjoyed The Shallows. I thought it was very fun and it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I need to find a copy of Lake Placid because I adore Betty White. The Mist is phenomenal and yes the end is absolutely brutal. Awesome video Stephanie and as always I learn about titles I’ve never heard of. Thanks so much for this great resource (even for the non-horror folks like myself). Ha ha!

Steph, I hope you bought the Sadako Nendoroid, because it doesn't appear on the Good Smile store anymore. If not, I'm sure it's still on sale somewhere. As for summer horror suggestions, I'll name Psycho Beach Party (2000). It's a parody of 60s beach movies mixed with slashers. Just watch it to have a good time.

Pickle making an appearance 😊 I need to give Madman a watch. I kind of expected more from Funny Games. I didn't love it. Love The Descent. The ending to Sleepaway Camp had me laughing lol 😁. Lake Placid is classic. Really enjoyed The Burning. Only seen the first 3 Wrong Turn films. The 1st is definitely my fave. Great picks! A lot of fun titles.

Hi Stephanie! Thanks for another great show. Two things I want to bring up. 1-When watching any kind of movie, suspend all reality & enjoy the story the movie is telling (My opinion & way of watching anything). 2-Keep those "hard to watch" movies for a future show. You might want to do a "Challenge yourself to watch a movie" type show. You know the old saying: "Better to have it & not need it than to need it & not have it.".👍

Hi Stephanie! Love the Pickle approvals! 😆 Fun summer horror picks. Disturbia is underrated. Gives me a Rear Window vibe, but a fun watch for those who aren’t looking for a slasher or gore fest. Looking forward to more of your picks. Just wondering if you also have any concerts on Blu-ray? I have an assortment of musical groups in concert and would love to know if you enjoy watching them? I have all of Madonna’s as she never came close to my area, and I probably couldn’t afford the tickets at the time back then either, lol! Now I can, but I don’t think I want to. Hi friend. I'm so happy you enjoyed the Pickle Approved stamps. Poor little thing gets stuck sitting up all night with me watching movies so I had to give her the spotlight. 😂😂😂 I agree with you on, Disturbia. It definitely has the Rear Window vibes; right down to the binoculars. I do like to throw some lighter fare in the horror lists for folks who aren't into some of the more graphic scenes. Funny you asked me about concert Blu-rays because I don't have many but I've just started to pick up a few and I love them. I just got one from Queen that I need to watch and Stop Making Sense that just finished about 5 minutes ago. Loved it. I do have a few others but now I really want to add more. You'll definitely be seeing more of Pickle and maybe even my, Mala. She's another good girl who will sit nice with me. The other two are crazy. 😂😂😂 Thanks so much for checking out the video. I'm sorry for the late response. My brother hasn't been doing well so life has me caught up a bit but I'm doing my best to catch up here in the comments. It’s very hard on the bad days, but she does still have some good days. I try to stay positive and that’s also why I always appreciate the distraction. Wishing you and your family comfort and peace.

I've been trying to get my brother to consider that because his tumor has come back and it's inoperable so I thought that could help him. You're right that any distractions are great. Some great choices... my favorites are probably The Host and Piranha, Funny Games and The Descent too. I hated Hostel and I don't usually mind gore. I just found it gore without much reason or plot. Kind of like Terrifier, but without the goofiness. Looking forward to checking out Madman. Can't believe I haven't seen that... and Eden Lake too. Here are a few from my collection: Them! - Ants in the desert. The desert always reminds me of summer and so do ants for that matter. The Monster That Challenged The World - A giant mollusk attacks a California beach town. Alligator People - Alligator man goes nuts in the Louisiana swamp. Nothing could be steamier! The Birds - another seaside California horror. Frogs - A horde of killer frogs attack an island plantation. Prophecy - Deformed creature attacks locals and vacationers in the Maine woods. Blood Beach - At one time it was my favorite Jaws ripoff. Hard to find. Alligator - THE best alligator movie ever made. Starring Robert Forster. The Hitcher - another desert suspense movie. Rutgar Hauer at his best. Tremors - More sunshiney desert and lots of fun. There's Nothing Out There - Horror spoof about college kids vacationing at a lake house when they get attacked by an alien monster (dumb, but lots of fun!) Dawn of the Dead (04 Remake) - This movie just feels sweaty. Open Water - Good (sorta) shark movie. Severence (06) - Movie about a British corporate retreat in Eastern Europe going awry. Fun!

I agree with you on Hostel. It's a very tough watch and I'm pretty sure it's leaving my collection. But the last time I did a list where it could have been included, people were asking for it. So I decided to include it this time. 🤷🤷 Tough call for sure. I really didn't like Terrifier and I haven't gotten to the second one yet. Not sure I will. @@MovieChatter01 Terrifier was bad. Terrifier 2 had some better art direction but was still bad. It's too bad. I like the clown character, but it is just gore for gore's sake and not really scary. If you didn't like the first one, you won't like the 2nd one most likely. I didn't mean it as a recommendation... I just meant for me it had a little more to offer than Hostel which is not much. If you haven't seen Severance I highly recommend that. It's a bit of a slasher throwback, but with well-developed characters, some genuine scares and thrills plus a good balance of humor. It hits all my buttons and is what I generally look for in horror.

Awesome list. The Funny Games remake is a shot for shot remake by the same director so you're basically getting the same movie just in English this time. Michael Pitt does great in the villainous role. Jaws is my all time favorite summer horror movie (and yes, it is 100% horror).

As far as I know, Just Before Dawn wasn't a Troma film. It was directed by Jeff Lieberman, probably better known for an earlier film of his - Squirm. He's also done one called Blue Sunshine and Satan's Little Helper. Squirm, would fit nicely as a summer horror itself. Uncle Sam, 90s horror centered on the 4th Of July. And how can you have summer without the Ice Cream Man starring Clint Howard.

But thanks for the info. 🙂 I do have Satan's Little Helper but not sure if I have, Squirn. I'll have to check that out. I do have Uncle Sam and the Ice Cream Man but like I said, I'll be doing a part 2 for this one and that will be around the July 4th week. Am I?? I don't really pay that much attention to which ones I grab unless I'm doing an actual 4K review. But yes, I think 4K is so great for physical media. I'm big with the Blu-ray as well because I think it's a nice, affordable sweet spot for many collectors. The tough thing is now the studios are releasing the 4K and Blu-ray separately and that's a tough choice for folks. I'm glad you're enjoying the content, too. Thanks so much for being here. 💞

Do you like The Descent 2? I've been curious about it but haven't seen it. The first one is one scary movie. I saw it in the theater in 2006. I laughed when i saw it was Pickle approved 🤣

😂😂😂😂 you will. I have the movies in a room in my basement and luckily they're all afraid of the stairs so they're only down here when I carry them. But.... Miss Pickle had a field day on my vinyl collection that was on the lower shelves. I have a baby gate in front of it now so problem solved. Not sure what kind of puppy you're thinking about but it's definitely an issue to prepare for. Keep me posted if you do get a little one and good luck!! Thanks so much for watching the video. @@MovieChatter01 Thanks for confirming! My dream dog is an Italian Greyhound. I almost got a one-year-old through a rescue but the competition beat me to it. They are in demand and it seems like a puppy from a breeder is the only option unless I'm willing to get a very mature one. Anyway, the baby gate sound like a good idea. Or maybe an upgrade to a shelf with doors.
