I'd love to see a "Remake" tier list down the line. You have some great ones like The Fly, The Thing, Evil Dead, TCM, or The Blob. You have some solid ones like The Ring, The Crazies, The Hills Have Eyes etc. Aaaand then you have the trash like The Fog, Psycho, or Prom Night. Loads of good material.

Maybe I'm on an island with Insidious 2, but I think its a solid enough sequel. I think it has better pacing than the first film and I understand your criticism with taking away the mystique of the Bride in Black, still really enjoy it. As for Psycho 2, completely agree with your placement. I absolutely love the first film, it Is my favorite horror film period, but Psycho 2 is just awesome.

Let me start by saying that The Lost Boys is my all time favourite Horror movie, it will always be a classic, and it's so much better than the sequels. That being said, unpopular opinion but I don't hate Lost Boys 2, I think it had to do with the time it came out, I was a teenager, and the main characters I was familiar with, you had Stifflers brother from American Pie Band Camp, and you had Autumn Reeser who I had a massive crush on. Seeing them both become vampires was cool, and there were a lot of scenes I just enjoyed. So yeah it's not a good movie, and the original is obviously better, but I still got enjoyment out of the 2nd one, especially if I don't compare it to the original. Great video as always man! :)

I do agree that Lost Boys: The Tribe is the worst, but it got me into the movie series, and that's why I love the original so much. It's similar to how I got into Alien with Aliens, except Lost Boys: The Tribe had the opposite effect. I do however still prefer The Thirst as the better sequel, especially the way they brought back the Frogg Brother dynamic, with the twist on how Alan became lost to vampirism, as well as Edgar learning to trust others again in his crusade, now that he's become a has-been in this society of reality show stars and YA fiction writers.

I'm in the minority, for sure, when it comes to Freddy's Revenge. It comes in third for me after Dream Warriors and A Nightmare On Elm Street. It's definitely the darkest depiction of Freddy Krueger, which I think is essential in a scary movie. People get bent out of shape about him leaving the dream world, which supposedly negates lore; but I don't see it that way. It was only the second installment in the franchise, so lore wasn't really established yet. It's kinda the Super Mario Bros. 2 of that series. Remember how off the wall that game was in comparison to the rest.

Fully agree, I might prefer New Nightmare over NOES 2 just cause I think it’s really fun, but I’ve always loved the second. It’s probably the only movie out of all the NOES, F13, and Halloween franchises that disturbed me, and for that I give it huge props and always have it high cause of that.

Well it depends on your standards that you're grading him off of. For what Childs Play requires I think he's very good as a child actor. Was he gonna win Oscars? No..but it's ridiculous to grade everyone on that criteria.

@@CodyLeachYT what if they hade a batman vs jason fan made flims and I no it is dum but hear me out Gotham City is in New Jersey right and camp christy lake is in new Jersey right well what if camp christy lake was right out of Gotham what if Jason disperse for 16 years from freedy vs jason and he comes back and kills a teenage girl Jim groden gets called to the crime scene beacuse one cop nose it is Jason so he calls Jim and batman gets on it Jim meets him on the top of the gcpd and Jim thinks that it is Jason and batman tells him that ghost aren't real and Jim says have you seen your villains so these teens go into the abandoned camp blood you no they do there stuff smoking drinking other stuff while this is going on Jason kills one of the teens than it gose to batman looking up history on Jason and learns about him mean while Jason is picking the teens off one by one they have a girl running a way from Jason batman finds out about camp blood he shows up there and right before Jason is about to kill the girl batman trows his banter rang at him batman says get out of here to the girl batman says Jason listen I'm sorry about what happened to you when you where a kid but killing insist kids is not going to help so they have there fight sene and this is just like freedy vs jason it just shows batman and Jason going ham on each other and then batman snaps and kills him and then Jason gets back up and stabs batman in the back think that he was going to die he remember that when he was learning about Jason that Jason got blo up the last time he die so batman constors his bat car and blows jason up with the rockets and then batman walks out of the scene all most dead and the ending credit sene has joker finding out that Jason almost killed batman and then smiles

I slightly disagree on Predator 2 though...nothing was ever going to touch the first film...up to this day..but the second one I thought was a fun ride...they went for a slightly different tone and I liked the whole urban jungle idea to it. Not to mention it added a bit to the lore of the predators themselves with little tidbits...like when it spared that lady cop because it saw she was pregnant. I like little details like that. It also showed us that the predators have been going to other planets as well for this hunting business. And any film with Bill Paxton gets extra love from me! Great video as always Cody!

Another fun list! I agree that psycho 2 is the best of all the psycho films. But sometimes I like the 3rd one more when I'm in the mood for a good comedy. By the way, I always thought Jim siedow looked like an evil version of Mr Rodgers, especially at the Chile contest. Forgive me sometimes my humor is dark. I think Halloween 2 has the best music in the whole Halloween series and it's my favorite sequel. As far as the Nightmare on elm Street franchise goes, part 2 is one of my favorites because of the house, the neighborhood, the shadows and the music. Plus it was one of the darker versions of Freddy. And I have to say we all had the privilege to watch horror master Robert Englund, the modern day Boris karloff or Bela Lugosi. Great video!

Evil Dead 2 and Aliens would be my only horror classics. Exorcist 2 would be the only one I'd put in slow death. Haven't seen Lost Boys 2 or the Underworld.

Thank you thank you THANK YOU finally someone talking about and appreciating FRIGHT NIGHT PART 2. Phenomenal sequel, that not one person on this planet talks about. I remember getting it at my video store when I was 8 and loving it...shout factory needs to get ahold of this for a proper release. I can only watch it on youtube , can't get it anywhere And couldn't agree more on Evil Dead 2...I just don't see what everyone in the world sees. I actually think it sucks.

My personal opinion on Halloween 2, I prefer it over the original 78 one. Now is there some glaring flaws that aren't really present in the original? Yes. But for me, I just like Dick Warlock as Michael more than Nick Castle, and that is no disrespect to Nick at all, he will always be a legend for setting the bar for Myers actors. Something about the way Warlock moves is honestly more creepy for me. And as you mentioned, the way the movie looks is similar to the first movie, makes it good as well. I feel like if some of the pacing and plot points were a bit better, without all of the behind the scenes drama too, I feel like this movie would be more well regarded, not to say it isn't now, but maybe a little bit more.

The Evil Dead films were too schlocky for me, until the Remake. That movie kicked ass.

One of my most underrated sequel is book of shadows. It was hacked by the studio but I love the idea and the hysteria and how mental disorders act when they have movies or other things they believe. The fan edit is amazing and shows how good it originally was. I know I will get so much hate for saying this but I really like it

@@CodyLeachYT That’s valid! I think when I saw 3 I hated how much more “Hollywood” it felt bc I felt it took away from the horror for me. I enjoy the story on it’s own for sure and the lead actress is great. Dermot Mulroney took it down a tad for me as well, but I genuinely enjoy all of the Insidious films!
