A statement from director Sam Bradford: "I'm a big fan of the horror movie genre and when Grace Sargeant handed me the script to "A-Symmetry" I was very excited to see what we could produce together. Sometimes I think the scariest monsters in film are the ones that don't look like monsters at all. Norman Bates (Psycho), Jack Torrence (The Shining) and Annie Wilkes (Misery) are but a handful of characters that appear like normal, everyday people at first glance but of course, there's a secret within them or a sinister side to their character, a history that's forced them to become something we're all scared of. With "A-Symmetry" I wanted the audience to feel uncomfortable around our lead character 'Sebastian'. I want people to recognise that something is off with him and yet see that he's so calm and collected with his motives throughout the film that it's easy to understand how he lures his victims into his home. He's intelligent, calm and collected, smartly dressed, polite and eager to please. How many of us would accept a cup of tea from someone like that at first glance?"

*Please do not read this comment until after watching the short. It may contain possible spoilers.* 🛑⬇️⤵️🚫🔥☠️ I think I understand why it's called "A-symmetry" and why the description says that "an obsessive serial killer's world turns awry." The definition of awry is basically something that's imbalanced or asymmetrical. In the beginning you see the killer as orderly, methodical. He's both a hero and a villain. He shows kindness and empathy to the first two victims. He then leads the third victim to believe he will help him find his missing wife, but all three come to somewhat the same end. I believe he previously treated all his victims in the same manner as noted by the arrangements in that room. The final victim perhaps threw him off a bit due to being the first person to come looking for the killer's previous victim. No one ever inquired about all the others and maybe that's why he "altered" him differently. The others where all kept intact and pristine, but this last guy is now literally "asymmetrical" essentially erasing the killer's symmetry of operating. IDK...maybe I'm wrong. The killer gave off a young Malcolm McDowell vibe or a Patrick Bateman from American Psycho with his charmingly cool killer attitude.
@capedcrusader_
@capedcrusader_ 4 жыл бұрын
I think may be the scar on his chest made him unsymmetrical... So the psycho cant make him into a 'perfect' mannequin. So he just cut him into pieces and bathed in his blood.

@@WatchALTER + 🖤I rather be disturbed with you and your awesome Horror shorts created by fresh talent. Than by real life dread 🌆We got an Emergency alert via our cell phones📲 this afternoon 8 pm curfew. To keep the Cornovirus ☣from spreading more . I wonder what they arent telling us ? So here we go week 3 and counting. They call it Social Distancing living in a city everything is shut down except the drug dealers and shootings .Even my building has a no guest rule including family checking on the older residents. Drs are doing phone visits It's been pretty eerie quiet Dejavu moment creepy . So if you can play extra videos🎬📽 🖥📹we would love to be disturbed twisted and warped Daily. If not 3 days a week🗓 is what we will await with anticipation. 🖤

I never understand why victims of suffocation by plastic bags never use their hands to tear a hole in the bag so they can get some air through their mouth at the very least. That's literally the first thing I would do!

Alter I am thoroughly enjoying your short horror films. I find them better than most full featured films that are costly. You are making bring quarantined a bit more tolerable.
