I enjoyed this one. When I saw the car at the end of the film I went back to the beginning to see if it was the same one. It was a convertible with roof up in the rain and looked like the same one at the end with roof down in the sun. It was no accident! It was a cuckoo conspiracy! These poor folks had their child taken from them and in their grief they took on and raised the odious offspring of the creatures who took their boy. To be fair, the guy in the relationship never looked like he was happy with that decision but probably loved his wife and did it for her. Just like the cuckoo that relies on other birds’ parental instinct still being in play when their own eggs have been thrown out from their nest, these creatures used up the lives and resources of the couple and showed up when the job was done. I love it!! So well done!!

Well this has creepy and weird all over it. Yet, it is a refreshing take for horror. Part of the horror is how lost we can be in grief. There is also the vibe of how we gradually can learn to accept things that are not good or healthy for us. Some of the camera angle were very impressive. Filming in black and white was an excellent choice. The accident looked really good. The lead growing a beard worked too. Many times I thought nope, nope, and nope. Salvo's was a perfect name for the company as the creatures had an impressive opening Salvo on humanity. Creepy and Weird worked for this film. Great job to Ray Sullivan and company. Peace.

Absolutely agree. The whole Salvo’s Cabinet thing was a great allegory for the old ‘people will buy anything to assuage their grief’ trope. This ended with a bit of unexpected humor AND horror - discovering there were OTHERS, and wondering what horror was in THEIR past… Great job!

You guys the bird noises whenever the setting is outside represents how some birds lay their eggs in other birds nests since they can’t tell the difference between their own and another birds, and they just leave their babies there for the other bird to raise often causing problems with amount of food to give to each of the babies or personality differences. It also reminds me of vivarium since they openly talk about the bird concept in that movie too.

My prospect of this is that.. a child was raised loved and nutured no matter how hideous he looks.. in my opinion the monster within was showing on the out..he grew up to be the monster he was destined to be regardless of upbringing.. but showed emotion after killing the foster parents..maybe due to lonliness remorse or abit of affection emotion in him for the family..but then the true parents located where he was fostered ..went to get him. If you take in a "monster" into your life - no matter how much you try and do good for it, it will still always be a "monster" and will never/ever "respect" or "appreciate" you, and always use you as a doormat and see you as just fodder and eventually destroy you.
