wow okay I am heartbroken and terrified at the same time and the boy who played Anthony was incredible! Spoilers: Like there was so much emotion packed into this, him and his mum and then the look he exchanged with his Dad knowing he must go on that broke me and I also found how it went silent at the end, how he was alone now, he had to survive by himself I can't even imagine. I love how he took his stuffed tiger :'( These short films really pack a punch and are better acted and directed than most feature length horror films nowadays. I feel like I should pay for this it was that good xD

Ooh, nice. Kudos to the filmmaker. It can be hard to make zombie films or shorts in an interesting way, there's so much material out already, but this kept my attention and even left me wanting for more. I truly felt for the family, which is a sign they're not just throwaway characters in a horror film but have actual substance, which is much harder to achieve with characters in short films.

yer the mum made a huge impact in such a short time,,you felt the change,, you could see who she was has been lost,, and you felt for her,,even tho you know nothing about her ,,you were made to feel like you knew her instantly,, great acting and film making,,proves you don't need a big budget and superstars to make a solid gripping zombie movie,, cus this felt like a teaser to a series =)

"No matter what you hear, no mattar what you see, you must keep going"(mom says before she turns) quite sad actually, but it shows in the ending, that was the horribly sad BUT very "TRUE REALITY" of what his mother did say. I love these short format productions. There are always hundreds of comments glibly asking for full-length feature film versions, but I don't think people really get how different that would make these stories. This story's power is heavily informed by its brief nature, in which we have to infer gradually the despair of their situation. At the start, it looks like the father is just enouraging his son to use the exercise bike so they can enjoy the use of some electricity. There is some early foreshadowing when the son notices that his mother is slower than normal to return, and more still when the father panicks that she was wounded. The story gets sadder and sadder incrementally, with each sorrowful twist not more than a minute behind the lat one. At the start of this story, Anthony is working out on a bike that strengthens his muscles for his inevitable retreat from the creatures, and also generates electricity for his family'as home. His father is cheering him on, and his mother will be home soon. By the end of the story, the father is forced to put the mother down to save Anthony, and each of their contingency plans has fallen apart. First they plan to flee by car together, but the mother won't make it and has to be left behind. Then she escapes her containment, and the father has to put her down. The creatures arrive in huge numbers, so instead of fleeing they have to barricade themselves inside. Finally, the gate won't hold, so the father must hold it for Anthony so one of them can escape. Anthony's retreat is expertly executed and prepared for, and clearly practiced and planned. We see at the end that their family always knew they needed multiple plans for escape in case things fell to pieces like this. It's not clear how long Anthony will survive alone, but in order to make it he'll now need to adopt all the responsibility and forethinking for which his parents took responsibility. This is a really harrowing story, that starts very gently and then escalates rapidly. I like the way it blends the implicit and explicit facts of Anthony's story so that the viewer will follow along with the desperate tone of these events.

Great casting! Even down to the undead, who, when both father, and son both look at each other, whilst his father is trying to hold them at bay. No words exchanged. Just a, go my son, and never look back, and you are truly my hero, Dad. I don’t want to leave you, but I’m following through, with every plan, that you, Mum, and I had. If it ever come down to this, and sadly, it did😢💔 The casting was exceptional! The young boy, is going to have a great career, ahead of him, if he keeps pursuing his dreams ♥️x My heart broke, when their final farewell come💔😢 A part II would be SO good!! Did Dad survive? After hearing his gun firing off rounds? And, if he did. Will he go out in search of his young boy, and both be reunited?🤞🏻 There are so many alternatives, I have come up with, if there were to be a second! Someone mentioned, how both father and son looked so much alike! And wondered, could they possibly be related? I too, thought the exact, same thing 🤔 Either way. This short, was done with perfection👌🏻 from every camera angle, and shots we, as the viewer, got to see. Very entertaining! But all I keep thinking about now, is, where that young boy is going to end up now? 😔 Location of filming👌🏻 could not have been any better!! Another piece of art guys!! So, thank you 😊 Well done👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻

I'm a big fan of horror movies but this ohh.. I can't even imagine if I'm all alone and I saw my parents becoming a zombie... Is there a part 2 of it?

In an apocalypse, train your kid to fix and a car and drive, never mind just training to peddle a bike, and why does the kid have zero instinct to help his father, this is truly scary as this in an accurate picture of the kids of today, no skills!

Stop asking for part 2s or a continuation for these stories. What makes them good is that they don't stay past their welcome. Lot's of horror films have awesome moments but they usually have some serious issues because of the length.

Spoilers & those for who don’t get it It’s a zombie apocalypse and in the beginning while waiting for food the boy is seen riding a bike as the mom comes back home actually to be bitten by zombies they get ready to leave away knowing the zombies know where they are at and now they are no longer safe at home as she begins to transform the dad locks her in the house and him and the son begin to get ready to leave but the car is having trouble starting right as the mom comes back to try and attack the dad shooting her dead leaving him and his son in shock right as the sun rises and zombies come running to them they run in the house as the dad tries to lock their gate he finds himself stuck between holding down the door and not having enough time to lock it properly without zombie storming in so he signals his son who gets the bike from the beginning and pedals away as he leaves hearing gunshots indicating the dad shooting the zombie and may have been bitten and killed himself we don’t know the movie ends with the son riding his bike not knowing where he’ll go nor what will happen to him so we are kinda left on a cliffhanger
