That transformation scene in the container is perfect...especially the music. It's truly sad how so many brilliant short films like this literally leave us dangling on a cliff with never any answers...I mean they even literally asked in their own description who and why they're running away from them.. Without ever answering!! 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@Stratmanable8 ай бұрын
Why must everything be explained? I enjoy films that leave blanks to be filled in by the viewer. I like a sense of mystery. Movies like this are like icebergs. Only a small part is visible. You know there's more you're not seeing, but in order to get the full view, you have to go below the surface.
@XThirdEyeX8 ай бұрын
@@Stratmanable yeah...I enjoy films like that too...but, those films usually always come in trilogies, sometimes more...its already been over 5 years with this short, and still nothing. 🤷🏻♂️ Just imagine if some classics like Star Wars, or Rocky, or Alien, or The Matrix, all only had one part and never told the rest of their stories...that would be truly horrible. 😕
@Stratmanable8 ай бұрын
@XThirdEyeX Eraserhead, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are standalone films. Blow Up and Paris Texas are standalone films. Most films that offer a sense of mystery and wonder are not parts of trilogies. Trilogies leave no room for mystery. In fact it takes three films to spoon feed you more than anybody needs to know.
@Stratmanable8 ай бұрын
@XThirdEyeX Also, what makes you think you deserve an answer. Imagine being so unimaginative that you can't handle anything nebulous or unresolved. Imagine being so unimaginative that you can't conceive of a film where THE POINT IS TO WONDER.

I think that’s partially what makes these films so good... horror is such a tricky genre to make because every plot is played out and been done before... the amount of jump scares, gore, eerie ness, and general plot twists are almost always like a solid 30 minutes of great movie... with 1-130 hours of filler. Lately the way they release trailers where they include like all of the scariest parts of the movies is just ruining them. Like you can almost watch a couple trailers now and you know the entire story with the best scares included.... it’s so sad lol

Great little flick but the ending left a lot to be desired. I think that it could have ended in a much better way than it did. So what exactly was the story that took place here? If I asked you to tell me what this short was about in detail could you explain what it was about? Even I had some trouble interpreting some of the theological portions of it, but I will do my best to explain it. The man is a priest on a mission from god to escort a girl and protect her from evil during the journey. What exactly the journey is, where they are going and the purpose of their crusade is unknown. The girl is a representation of Lilith. Lilith is the mother of all whores and a demon described in the bible. Why she is on earth in this human form is unknown, and why a priest is to protect her on their crusade is also unknown. Lilith is a powerful demon and no ordinary demon if there is even such a thing. She is being pursued by the agents of hell. A man is locked up in a sea container chained to a bed. This man is possessed by a powerful demon and an agent of the fallen one. It is possible that he is the fallen one himself as he describes God as his father. He issues orders to a human henchman to track down the girl. The henchman does his job and tracks them down. The henchman is not the only one trying to catch the girl and the priest is attacked by a pair of other agents that work for an unknown party. It is not clear if they are agents of the fallen one or if they are agents from heaven or somewhere else. The priest stops them and they move on to a church in the middle of nowhere. The henchman and a sidekick find and stop the girl and the priest. The priest kills the henchman and the sidekick kills the priest. The girl gets very upset at the death of the priest and uses her powers to call down a pillar of fire that burns the sidekick to death and also seems to consume herself and the dead bodies. The end. So that’s the story in a nutshell. I left out the encounter with the old man simply because it held no real significance beyond providing the priest with a gun and a car and also served as a way to provide a slight overview of their story which was explained to the old man who said he wanted to understand what they were doing. Too many unknowns in this story that leaves the viewer to fill in a few too many plot holes with thoughts of their own. Can someone else who noticed more than I did please elaborate on my overview so that I can understand more than I was able to pick up?

I read 2 or 3 dozen comments right after watching this short. You can put almost all the comments into several distinct categories. One group says the same old tired line: "I get more out of your 20 minute film than Hollywood's 2 hour movies. Loved it...need to see more". Another group says this would be great if you turned it into a 2 hour movie. I'd get so much more out of it". The third group says something about a specific moment or asks why one actor (or actress) did a certain thing rather than doing something else. Group four clamors about how truly great the cinematography was and/or how fantastic the acting was, blah, blah, blah.... . Group five starts getting more candid about the flick: "The ending was not what I expected, it should have been different". Or "I didn't understand the short at all, it needed more explanations as to who, what, where, when, and why" And the really honest people make up the next group. They tell it like they see it. "Your movie made no sense at all. I wasted 20 minutes of my time watching this nonsense. I could have been doing something better with my time". The funny thing is, you see the same comments in the comment section, give or take another group or two, for every short movie on every channel. I get more of a kick out of reading the comments than I do watching 90% of the "artwork" seen on YT. Sure we all have differing opinions on the movies we watch. That's just human nature, but you could take all the comments on a thousand shorties, mix them up and sprinkle them back into the comment section and nobody would tell the difference. I almost forgot a group. Its the one where a "discerning artist" critiques the film as if he/she were Cecil B. Demille himself. Those tend to be the real tongue-in-cheek expert commentaries on the artistic value of the work in question. They rate an "Hilarious" usually. So forgive me for venting on your comment page. It could have been done on anyone's comment page for any genre of movie. My take on your flick is that it was descent, but I couldn't decipher a lot of the Cockney English, and I basically have no idea what it had to do with God's kingdom. Perhaps you, and all uploaders could include a cheat sheet at the beginning of the comment area so we'd know what it is you were trying to convey. Then, perhaps, we'd get a wider range of comment groups with more insight into the movie, with some real constructive criticism.

"Howler!" Revelations is the last book of the Bible, so the man should've been shown reading the end of the holy book, not somewhere in the middle of the volume. But great photography, with an incomprehensible ending.

There’s a few things that wasn’t clear like one why was a priest protecting the whore ofBabylon ? And why did she care about what happened to him when he died she is supposed to be evil so why would she care? And I got a few more?s but I wanted to give you an example,but besides that it was a great short great job👏👏👏

I find it interesting that filmmakers have never represented Satan as the Bible tells us he looks like.

@Truth Surge What about the book of job?
@DGneoseeker15 жыл бұрын
@@sashas3362 That guy is Ha-Satan. He isn't the devil. Ha-Satan means "The Satan". It's a job title. The Jews, if I recall correctly, say that he is God's Prosecutor. Basically an angel acting much like a lawyer in court. He tests humans FOR GOD. So yes that means God in the book of Job was indirectly torturing Job. www.myjewishlearning.com/article/satan-the-adversary/ As for Lucifer, that was originally just a term for the planet Venus. Later used in the old testament of the Bible to refer to the king of Babylon falling from power. It was not referring to a fallen angel. That was a later invention.
@sashas33625 жыл бұрын
@@DGneoseeker1 Yes, ha-satan is one of the titles bestowed upon a member of the sanhedrin, isn't it? The "elohim" were said to have had a similar (if not identical) court system. You do understand "satan" was never a name, right? It was always a title. Do you know what the true name of the one called "satan" in scripture was?
@DGneoseeker15 жыл бұрын
@@sashas3362 That's what I was saying. It was always a title. But modern day Christians seem to have become confused and refer to "Satan" or Lucifer as an individual who is the devil. By his true name are you referring to Sammael?
@sashas33625 жыл бұрын
@@DGneoseeker1 I don't know for certain what the true name is. I have heard many different claims. The most interesting I've heard is that it's the tetragrammaton but in reverse. HWHY or HUHI for example. But hebrew is written and read from right to left as opposed to left to right, creating confusion. I have also heard Lucifer is NOT one of the actual names of Satan. There are Luciferians who believe Lucifer is the name of Christ. But then there are those such as modern day descendants of the tribe of judah who believe Jesus/YesHUaH Christ is Satan because Christ condemned the law of the Torah as the product of Satan and challenged it, by pardoning an adulteress and breaking the sabbath law, for example. The latter being the reason Christ was executed (aside from the accusation of blasphemy). Somewhere I heard "jesus" was a member of the sanhedrin. The question is what title "jesus" was given. I once knew the title given but it eludes me at the moment.

This was far, far more of a Drama than a Horror short film. I struggle to think how it could be considered horror. I totally enjoyed it nonetheless.

Brandon Brothers 😆 lol With a sawed off shotgun, aiming isn’t really much of an option! You basically just get as close as you can while pointing in the direction of the danger, and hope you’re close enough to hit anything at all! It’s why that type of gun is used for the super close-up kills in the movies.

I watched this and loved it but I do not understand the ending. The little girl is the Scarlet Woman? I am wondering why they chose to use a small girl to represent the mother of abominations. Also, i get that she is upset that the priest was killed, and that is why she screamed, but why would she form an alliance with a priest? Why would a priest commit murder for her? So many questions.
