Wow. BEAUTIFULLY shot, it shows you just enough to let your mind fill in the blanks. The acting was phenomenal, I really felt her excitement and then everything she went through afterward. This one deserves awards. Loved it

It is horrible, but what I took away from it this: she was treating the baby as if it was her own child, including nursing from her own body after carrying the fetus to birth. She realized that her lab partner was taking photos as if the baby was a scientific experiment, and calling the baby "it." She then realized the horrible life of a baby going through relentless testing and basically being imprisoned in a lab until death. She made the choice to not allow the suffering because she had emotional attachment and felt mercy.

I think that's why she killed the baby. So it wouldn't be treated like a scientific test subject imprisoned in the lab. She was selfish in doing the experiment then realized half way through the pregnancy that it was a horrible idea.

SPOILERS....... .... I think the idea is that when you cross a certain line with "experimenting," things can get dark, and very personal. She carried her pig baby for nine months...she was already realizing she'd love it by the time of the cashier scene, that's why she was crying in frustration in the car. When she breastfed it, you could see the love. Dom saw it too, and you could see he was disturbed that she was breastfeeding at all. Then she killed the child rather than have it live its life as a freak and being exposed to painful experiments.
