A classic horror movie. Treasure hunters bring an odd looking box into the home, curious kid checks it out and releases the demon out. there is always a charm in old school horror stuff! Loved it ❤

This is pretty freaking creepy. And terrifying. I’m a grown man (in age) and would be absolutely horrified if this happened to me. I doubt I would have been able to escape like she did! To my opinion the slow motion of the scene at the end is the part where the haunting starts and makes the movie to continue in the viewer's head even after... Creeeeeepy

Very cool & 100% creepy . It must so hard to play a total idiot but this gal nails it . She can't leave well enough alone & just as curiosity killed the cat she was destined to pay the price plus it cost her her dad as well. Great little film but way to short. My guess is the Witch didn't want her father as he was as they say damaged goods. Awesome job on the Witch makeup & just how creepy she was , all the things we love when it comes to bad Witches. Seems this had just a touch of Lovecraft in there & a touch of old Hammer flicks . Gotta be on the side side of Evil here as it sure has won the day.

Sooo. ...I'm a serious fanatic of scary movies, and this one im confused about. I mean there's a lot of scary parts that were just freakin awesome but what was the plot? The whole thing with her floating at the end and the ghost lady, the daughter and dad were looking at her funny, like was that the mom, dead mom?? And what was in that trunk?

I guess the ghost in the trunk just had the daughter replaced her. The ghost wore the vintage dress, may be she was locked in there hundred years ago. Now she was released because the daughter must replace her.

Ppl are so damn nosy for their own good, because how many horror movie antagonists NEVER think about that important warning/omen/sign??? It makes me think of "The Deep House" where they go under water to this house and inside the kitchen they find a 3 -4ft crucifix hanging on the basement door.....so of course, that means "TAKE IT OFF!!!" in idiot terms. Its really brilliant, the Hollywood movies have nothing on you guys who are doing these short movies, its like big filmmakers have run out of imagination. Horror stories, books and films never seemed to get past zombies and, in my opinion, you can have too much zombie stuff. This is refreshing and scary. Mind you, maybe its just me but if I found a chained up trunk buried in the woods, I would give it a really wide berth because you or rather I, cannot imagine anything good being chained up and buried!

I had the vintage trunk like that. From Burma. In fact it was the “dancer trunk” to keep the makeup and dancing dresses. It is wood and heavy. My friends are afraid of it as it was “haunted” by their perception. But I have no problem with it. Never feel afraid of it. Never see any ghost. Though my friends saw them. Weird. 🙄🤗

OK cpl things. 1st would've been great short had ended w girl disappeared. 2nd seriously show dad drugged on pain meds or drunk explaining his unable to awaken. 3rd the girls literally flat no emotion at all especially after killing her dad even w shock she should melted! In conclusion I actually enjoyed this short overall. Quality improvements are noticeable especially the make up over time! The guys face hlf off w eyeball dangling seeing from his pov showing his breath stop. All Quality low budget horror. Which is the best horror! Mother of invention is necessity an lack of $ creates very creative invention.

One of the best shorts I've seen on Alter.Not wholly original but well executed. Fully expected some vampiric demonic entity to be lurking within the confines of the trunk,and when it was revealed was surprised at the standard of make up. Also good was the make up effects on the fathers shotgun blasted face.Very well done.

The visual/practical effects were cool. Wasn’t super impressed otherwise. To be honest I was expecting this to be a niche horror-comedy with a funny twist ending. Everything from the plot to the dialogue to the acting seemed overly fake and cliche. Every horror movie trope squeezed into a very short film. Definitely wasn’t my favorite film featured on this channel.

Turned my ph brightness up pretty high and sadly I still couldn't see what's happening, which means I missed out on all the visual storyline, spooky and any jump scares! Any suggestions how to increase the lighting levels in videos on a mobile, that differs from inceasing phones brightness level? N.B My ph lacks space so doubtful I have enough space to add and open another app to modify L levels of vid that way!... No offence intented to vid's director, I'm jus gutted I'm in the dark coz I can't see. 😪
