I think they'd have a hell of a great situation to work with if they ever teamed up with Louie CK. If this idea confuses you, just look at so much of his FX series Louie. Also many of his lesser known short films or even "I Love You Daddy." Great ambiguity and experimentation. High level realism. Nuanced and unique regard for the subtle detail. And Louie CK has a great and deep knowledge of film and filmmaking history, at least similar to and on par with Josh and Benny Safdie. All unique cinephiles in their own right. I do think they would compliment and contrast each other well. Regardless, I look forward to each of their contributions in the future. Much admiration, love and respect!

These last few years have been the first time in my adult life that I can say with confidence that there are more films & tv series of good to great quality to find and digest than that of poor quality, although that does have to change the scale or whatever device we use to measure them, so the bar is raised to a higher degree. When in the, not so long ago, past it was the opposite, where there were quality and "hidden gems" but mostly commercial and watered down garbage, though of course there's still too much of that in existence. But I do feel we owe much gratitude and respect to the Safdie Brothers, S. Craig Zahler, Ari Aster, Robert Eggers, Jordan Peele, Denis Villeneuve, Alex Garland, Yorgos Lanthimos, Panos Cosmatos, Gaspar Noe`, Paul T. Anderson (though not a new-comer of course), and I'm sure I have forgotten a couple names which very much deserve to be included in this list, but just the ones that come to mind initially. The excitement and optimism I'm confronted with for the future of film is hard to contain and bewildering when up against my usual cynicism and regretable doubt, both battling for a voice and validation.
