In our horse barn five cats was living happy life along horses. In winter with outdoor temperatures reaching -30F, cats was snuggling to horses.

My little goat would stand on my horse's and my donkeys' backs. It was so cute to watch. They loved her. She would climb the rocks, the horse or donkey would stand very still next to the rock pile and she would climb right on.

When I was about 9 I once tried to introducing a cat to the new horse at the stable. Cat got bitten😢. He wasn't heavily injured, but I felt very guilty for days. Cat still liked me afterwards.

Yeah, the horse has grass right there, isn't going anywhere. I took my horse out to the woods a few years ago and after we rode, I let him loose in a small area of lush, deep grass. A mountain bike rider came by and said, "aren't you afraid he'll leave because he's not tied up?" I told him until Chunky finishes all the grass in that area, he's staying put.
