If there is ever a rebirth, I wish to be with you. Every Sunday I wait with joy for a new, as always incredibly beautiful video and enjoy the landscape, horses and dogs. When I was younger, I rode my Hispano-Arabian Edurance. The long training in nature and then the ultimate test was the fulfillment of my life alongside my work as a disability caregiver. I miss that time very much. I wish you happy holidays, and a wonderful start into the new year

What a interesting and well designed video. It is amazing that Shawn can gather cattle, manage dogs and video at the same time - the definition of a multi-tasker. Trason, your young dog shows some real natural ability and will become a major asset in the rough ranch country.

Merry Christmas to all of you. Until this video, I didn't know that you made your own tack. I'm wondering your reasoning for having a buckle on the top of your bridle? I've never seen that design before before. My bridles all have an adjustment buckle on the cheek. I haven't seen what types of bits you use. My preference is always a sweet iron with copper inlays for both D ring snaffle and mullen mouth curb bits. I find this combination of metals keeps the horse's mouth moist and they enjoy the taste. Thanks for sharing your videos.
@shawnjack80929 сағат бұрын
We have tried all kinds of head stalls, and we like the buckle on the check the best. I still have a few that I made that have the buckle on top, but I don't make that type any more. Thanks for watching

My Australian Shepherd did excellent when he was younger..he was trained by his older Blue Heeler brother..he lost interest when his big brother died after being bite by a water moccasin...I guess he preferred team work...at 8 he is enjoying the quiet life of caring giving my handicapped husband 😂❤😂

Very pretty country. I'm surprised by the variety of plant life, i didn'tsee much grass at the beginning of the video. Do the cattle eat the leaves and stems of the shrubs? This is my 1st time watching you work the cattle 😊
@shawnjack80929 сағат бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes they eat a lot of browse as we call it. There are many varieties that are high in proteins and the cows really do well on them.

Thank you guys for another great video! Are your saddle styles modified Wades? And, did you have anyone who helped you get started with your saddle making? Have a great Christmas!
@shawnjack80929 сағат бұрын
Thank you for the questions. The tree that I am building now is a modified Will James. I get them out of Timberline Tree company. The helped me develop this tree and it is what I use most. I did not attend a school, but rather I am self taught. I did spend time with local saddle makers and they helped me a long. There are really good videos out there that have patterns to get you started. Thanks for watching.
@AlanJohnson-oj4st2 сағат бұрын
@ Thanks! I enjoyed reading Will James books growing up, and often wondered what one of his saddles would ride like.
@SmilingDeer-dt5sjk14 сағат бұрын
Don’t you think it would be easier to train your cattle to come to the sound of a horn? It only takes about two are three weeks to get them to come when you sound the horn.

Good afternoon Cowboys. Merry Christmas to you all! Can you not use a drone to possibly find them? We have snow, you can have all you’d like. lol I’m in Wisconsin. Do the author lose the road for you? The saddle looks nice. Such pretty land. Bull appears to be doing a great job. Hi Hyde, I hope Santa brings you all you want! Great video. Thank you!
@shawnjack80929 сағат бұрын
Hi Cindi, yes I do use the drone, but I have limited range and so if the cows are not close, I can't find them. We are actually going to fly that area in a plane this week.

Merry Christmas 1880 Drifters. The Cattle look good and healthy. Shawn my good man do you ever get saddle sore because of riding all the time? Is Wayne is a family friend or a relative? This video was the first time I saw that big Black and White cow. Do you have a favorite color of Wild Rag you like to ware? Do you guys make Spurs and Bits as well? The Coke a Cola chair or stool is cool to see. Yes indeed cool looking Canyon. Do you guys freeze brand your horses?
@shawnjack80929 сағат бұрын
Hi Ty, merry Christmas. Yes I get saddle sore, but that mainly happens when I am riding a horse that has a rough or abrupt gate. Wayne is a good friend who works with us. He is like a walking cowboy book, I have learned more from him than than just about anyone. We do freeze brand our horses, but only the ones that we raise from babies. If they already have a brand on them, we do not rebrand them.
