Horseflies! My only experience with them was in the early 50’s when I spent part of the summer in Ocean Falls. Mosquitos on the other hand…….i heard a Yukon mossie landed at YXY and the ground crew had it half refuelled before they realized what they were doing.,

Yeah Nico and Amanda were not used to horseflies at all! I told them it’s not usually this bad! Lol

Great video guys. Having your family there was great to watch. That was one big fish. What attracted all those horse flies out across the water?
@MVSKOOKUM12 ай бұрын
It was one big halibut! We can only keep 126cm max. Those flies will find you for miles off the beaches. And they are relentless!!

Hi guys MV Moondance has an after market stabilizer installed on their Nordhavn 3520 which you may have seen. Thought it was something you might find interesting.
@MVSKOOKUM12 ай бұрын
Oh we will check that out! We do have the manual paravane stabilizers that we put out when it’s rough!

Do you guys have a Halibut spear? They're pretty handy.
@MVSKOOKUM12 ай бұрын
Hi. No we don’t have a spear Sometimes we wish we did. But we get a lot of halibut that we have to try to measure as we can only keep one up to 126cm . The ones below 126cm seem to come in okay. It’s those big ones that are hard !

@@MVSKOOKUM1 That was a really big one for sure. Too bad you can't keep any size. We really enjoy your posts! Thanks and smooth waters and may your anchor never drag. Tim and Jill on M/V Dream Weaver.
