I am an addiction nurse full time and hospice PRN. I love the hospice pRN because I can enjoy it with a lot less stress. I was a case manager for a short time but it was just a lot more stressful. I love getting to meet new patients and not be the primary nurse. Lol. Love your videos. I would be way to self conscious❤❤❤ to make one of my own so I will live vicariously through you 😂

That’s exactly why I like working weekends! So much less stressful and you can meet so many new people and go different places. It’s like the ER of hospice 😂 thank you for watching! Took a little while to get out to my shell. In person, unless I’m at work, I’m a pretty shy person (believe it or not😂😂😂)

Is it possible for a new grad to start in hospice? Hospice is the sole reason I went to nursing school. I was an elementary school teacher years ago so this would be a second career.

Definitely! Highly recommend looking into hospice nurse residency programs. There are some hospices who may hire new grads but I think that the residency programs give you a great foundation- especially since hospice nurses have to work solo.
