My sister passed from metastatic breast cancer in 2011. She fought so hard and really didn’t understand it was the end even two days before she died. The night before, I was sitting on a chair at the foot of her bed when she suddenly opened her eyes and smiled and looked so happy. She saw my Dad where I was sitting and was so peaceful and delighted he was with her - he had died in 2005. I knew then that there was so much more to our lives than here on earth. That our spirit lives forever and we will see our loved ones again on the other side as the Lord has promised.

My mom was living in a nursing home under hospice care. She had not been able to speak for several months. I had stopped by for a visit and when I was ready to leave I told her I loved her. In the clearest voice she said “I love you”. I was completely shocked and thrilled all at the same time. Those were the last words I heard her speak. What a precious memory I will always have. I am currently living with metastatic breast cancer and hope I will be able to give my daughter a sweet memory that she can look back on and cherish.

One morning, I was only just waking up, and my grandmother, who was 99 and had been in an assisted living facility for a couple of years with Altzheimer’s came into my bedroom in my house (several thousand miles from where she lived), gave me one of her great big hugs and a kiss, told me that she loved me and that she would see me soon. It was more real than my everyday life (don’t really know how to express that). And, for some bizarre reason, in the moment it did not seem strange to me at all. It was my grandmother in every aspect the way I remembered her exactly, yet she hadn’t recognized her own children for years. She and I were very close. It was one of those experiences that is SO vivid and clear. I was then WIDE awake and crying. I turned over and told my partner that my grandmother had died. Sure enough, about 1/2 hour later my mother called to tell me that Mom-mom had died that morning right at the time when I experienced her coming to me. That experience taught me that we do not really die, not in the way we think.

I believe you. I had the samething when my Dad passed. I had this overwhelming feeling 1hr after I left him he would pass on. He told me he wouldn't die in front of me. He was a vet. They had a retired vet sit with my Dad. 1hr to the minute the phone rang we all knew because I said it as we walked out of his room. I was just outside his closed window no way he could hear. He was so peaceful. Something I never saw before and being a CNA his eyes moving back and forth like he was looking around. I could feel he couldn't wait to leave, whatever he saw made him want to leave this place in a hurry.

Okay, I have to tell you one of my stories. My husband was always close to his cousin. She was just a bit younger and they were double cousins (moms were sisters, dads were brothers). She was hit hard by colon cancer and was losing her struggle. One night I dreamt we were all together-she, my husband and me in the kitchen of the place where we always had our big family dinners. We puttered around for a while, then suddenly she stopped, turned to us and said, "I really have to go now. Bye!" And she was gone. It was so real I sat up wide awake. I took note of the time because it did make such an impression-1:15 am. The next morning we got "that call." As soon as I could I asked her son what time she passed. He told me, "1:15 am." I said, "Keven, she came to say goodbye on her way out." He totally believed it, given how close the two cousins were.

My adult children’s biological father died last week. A horrible death from complete organ failure. They’d been estranged for many many years, but all rallied around him at the end to ask forgiveness and forgive. Their father wasn’t able to make eye contact or speak; only squeeze hands. The kids decided to brighten up the hospice room with a star jasmine plant. It held some significance to them all. The morning he died, my son visited once more. His father was still alive, but slipping fast. My son left to take a walk so his stepmother could be with his father. As he walked, he saw a big green plant, and when he got closer, he bent over to take a photo of a lonely little star jasmine bloom. Suddenly, a car came zooming up, rolled down its window and the driver said, “That’s a star jasmine!” My son turned around, stunned, and began staggering to the car, asking, “WHAT did you say?!” The driver repeated, “Just so you know, that’s a star jasmine!” He gave a thumbs up and winked. He quickly rolled the window up and sped off, but not before my son noticed that he looked a lot like his father when he was younger, and was driving the exact same model and color of his father’s current car. The kicker? When he got back to hospice hospital, he discovered his father had died at 9:13 AM. He looked at the photo of the jasmine he’d taken on his walk as the man pulled up, and it was time stamped 9:13. WHAT?!

Dear nurse Julie. I work as home aide for elderly and disabled adults. One day one of my clients (I'll call Beth) was withdrawn. Her daughter had contacted me before I got to Beth's house and said her Beth's youngest daughter passed away from a massive heart attack. She was in her mid 40s. I was instructed to not let Beth know. (Seriously, I would have refused if asked to tell her. It wasn't my place to deliver that news) I went about my day, cooking, cleaning ect. I had Beth in her tub giving her a bath. She loved warm bubble baths. But that day she wasn't her normal self. Mid way washing her face she stopped and looked me so seriously. She said "something is wrong with Jamie and they won't tell me" I had to look away and tell her I hadn't heard anything. It gave me goosebumps. I loved that beautiful lady as much as I do my own mother. I know there is a place beyond this where we will be together again. I can't wait to squeeze her tight.

I was raised by my paternal grandmother. When I was the age of 8, she passed away quickly from pancreatic cancer. The night she passed, I was with my mom and stepdad. Sleeping in a finished attic bedroom. That night, she came to see me. She looked opaque. Not completely see through but not solid like a human body looks. She had a light lavender evening gown on. No words were actually spoken but I understood that she would no longer be here on earth, yet not gone forever. She then flew out the window. The next morning, when my mom and stepdad told me she passed away, I already knew and preceded to tell them my eventful evening. As the months and years went on, I cried lots, looking at her picture and begging her to come back and see me. She never did. Although I now know she watched over me, the only reason she didn’t show herself again, was that this would have held up my own grievance and healing process.💕

You are absolutely wonderful. I’ve myself experienced dual NDEs, with first death lasting 5-6 minutes, then returning for 4-5 minutes, dying again (at least 8-9 minutes with dilated non-reactive pupils, no pulse, no breathing, and cooling skin) before being sent back the second time. My story is quite involved, but to summarize I had bled out completely about 45 minutes before the lifeflight helo landed at the trauma center yet I was fully conscious and even was overwhelmed with love and joy from being in God’s presence twice.

I spent a lot of my childhood with my grandparents. My grandfather was an outdoorsman. He loveed to fish, Hunt, fix up things around the house. To me, he was a giant of a man. As he grew older, and towards the end of his life, he got sick. Really sick. I believe it was leukemia, I can’t remember exactly as it’s been a while since he’s passed. But during that time I remember him being sick for a long time. And it definitely took a toll on him. By the time the end came, he was a shadow of himself. He lost a lot of weight, his body had shrunk in size, to the point where i was now taller than him. His cheeks were shallow, he needed to have tubes up his nose, to even breathe. You could tell that every day was a struggle for him. It was just soo sad to see him like that, so different from what he used to be. We All knew that his passing was coming soon. On the day he did pass. It was a normal day. I was at work, and I remember my father coming into my job and speaking with my boss. Together we walked to the car, and he told me that grandfather had passed away. I remember feeling, nothing. I felt hollow, and cold. That day I shed one tear. It took us a few days to get the funeral in order. And the whole time I just felt nothing. I think at the time I was trying to be strong for my mother. She was close to my grandfather. And she was just broken from this. The night of the funeral, I remember just feeling so exhausted from everything and I went to sleep early. In my dream, I’m walking down the sidewalk of my college. But something is strange. It seems like there are thousands of people walking around the college. Like a crowd of people walking in every different direction. But I recognize none of them. I continue to walk down the sidewalk jostling against people when all of a sudden I feel someone grab me by the shoulders from behind. The person turns me around and I’m looking at a men, older than me maybe mid 40s. It takes me a second until I’m able to recognize him. Is my grandfather, but not how I remember him. It’s a younger version of himself. He is healthy, he is tall, he is strong. And he also looks very worried. He shakes me by the shoulders and I can see he’s asking me something but in my head I’m thinking what are you doing here? Your dead. Then he shakes me by my shoulders to get my attention, then I hear his question. He asks me “are you okay?” I look at him, and I nod my head and say “yes, I’m okay” Then you can see his body visibly relax. He nods to himself, and smiles. He squeezes my shoulders, and let’s me go. Then he proceeds to walk past me. I turned around to find him And he is gone. In that moment, I wake up and they are tears streaming down my face and i crying hard. Never once have I ever I had a dream that felt so real. The next week I tell my Aunt about the experience, and she tells me that my cousin had a dream as well. Soon to find out that a lot of us that week had a dream about my grandfather. I like to think of that experience as not a dream, but as my grandfather, making sure that I was okay before he left.

Hi Julie. I have 2 stories. I was a nursing assistant for many years. First one. I had a resident die. Several minutes later, all call lights were flashing. We went into rooms, and bathrooms to find nobody pushed call light buttons, nobody in the bathroom. Suddenly a nurse yells crack a window. Well after that the call lights all shut off. Second story. I took care of a wonderful lady for about 3 years up until she passed. She was in room 104 the whole time. I had a dream a few nights later. Someone said someone wanted to say hi. This was in room 111. Anyways I walked into the room and there she was saying hi and we had a wonderful hug. I went to work the next day and told my coworkers about my dream. I said I wonder why she was in a different room. A few coworkers that had been there for a very long time were grey in the face and said that was the room she shared with her mother for several years as she spent 20 years there with MS. Goosebump moment for sure.

My mother told me that my father had come to see her in the hospital after her getting her pacemaker. I asked her what she said to him. She replied "I told him to go away , I am not ready yet" About 5 years later my sister was in the hospital room with her staying the night. My mother kept looking over at my sister like she was puzzled and just as my sister was drifting off to sleep she felt my father "swoosh" into the room and she felt secure and snuggled into her blankets when all of a sudden the alarms went of as my mother's heart stopped.

I don’t know if this is a miracle, but this was an unexpected moment. I was raised by my grandparents. My grandfather worked 3 jobs all his life and the week after he retired at 65, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Another week later, he went into surgery and it turned out to be incurable cancer. My family pushed forward with trying to prolong his life. By month 3, he was out of it. Didn’t recognize any of us and he yelled all the time for my grandma - even if she was in the room. I was raised Catholic and I was shaken to my core. My grandpa was everything to me. One day, I went in and sat on the edge of his hospital bed (he was in a nursing home by this time). He was asleep. I laid my head down on his bed, held one of his hands, and sobbed. I said this isn’t fair. I hate God, I don’t believe in f’ing God. He opened his eyes, squeezed my hand and said Krissie, I don’t ever want to hear you say that again. I believe in God. You believe in God. It’s all meant to be. Then he closed his eyes. He didn’t end up dying until 7 weeks later. Those were the last words he spoke - heck - he hadn’t even been talking in complete sentences for 2 months. One of his nurses had entered the room just as he said my name. She froze. Couldn’t believe that he was talking to me. He passed about 7 weeks later.

David, this is not hospice related but when my husband was sick just before he passed we lost our little old chihuahua & we were both very sad. She came to me in a dream & let me know she was in Heaven & something about Japan. Only later when the Japanese Princess trees bloomed profusely did I get it. We buried her little body under the Japanese trees. They bloomed more than they had in 20+ years. 20’ trees covered in huge blue orchid like flowers. When we bought the trees they were labelled “chinese princess trees”. I looked up information on them & realized our little dog sent us a surprise. & there’s No way her tiny body fertilized them enough to cause it.

My aunt died last year. She was 93 years old and still fairly active. She was getting ready to go camping and fishing at their cabin for one month, as she did every year. We are not sure what happened. If she had small stroke or what but she had fallen over then for a few days wasn't feeling well. Had naused and such. The one mornning her daughter said she couldn't get out of bed so she called the ambulance to come take her to the hospital. After being at the hospital for a few hours her vitals were not good. Her kidneys were failing and also her heart. Everyone in the room was quiet. My aunt was always a funny lady, always laughing and loved to have fun and she said, it is too quiet in here, them to tell some funny stories. Meaning all her family in the room. Her granddaughter was on her way to see her from Alaska and her brother had already gone down to go to the cabin so he was on his way back to see her at the hospital. She told her daughter, I will wait for my brother (she said his name) but I'm not waiting for (her granddaughter, as she was going to be awhile coming from Alaska). The nurse came in and said she was going to sedate her now and my aunt said, no you are not becauase I am not going to be here that long. Her brother came and they said their good byes and she passed very peacefully. I think it's neat that she knew but I have often wondered how she so confidently knew it was her time. So neat to be able to go like that. She had a long great life and a quick and peaceful death. How some know and some don't within mintues of their death. When my mom passed, she prayed and prayed for it but never knew when it was coming. I love your stories, they really help to ease my mind. I appreciate you telling us your experiences. God Bless!

Yes children can see things that I can’t. My son and daughter in law own a large country property. They have 3 small cemeteries. One of them is very close. I drive my granddaughter on the tractor past one of them. On 3 separate occasions she wanted to stop and see it. I stopped and all three times she was running between the head stones. And then she suddenly she stopped running and started crying. Not in a l’m hurt cry but a very sad cry. I will not stop any more. Also I used to live next door to my brother. We did in home daycare. We had a less than 1 y/o girl with a mom that worked crazy hours. On 2 separate occasions we were invited to eat at my brother’s house while this child was with us. The minute we crossed the threshold with this child she would start crying in a panicked cry. We later found out that there was a less than 2 y/o young girl that had died in the front room. Yes I know children can see things that I can’t.

Hi Julie, I look forward to every new video from you. There's always a learning opportunity from you, or people in the comments. I was a long term care nurse for 35 years. During the time I worked beginning in 1985 I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to care for many, many WW 2 veterans, their families, men who had been prisoners of war, a few survivors of Nazi concentration camps, (I still get chills when I remember those numbers tattooed on their arms) I actually cared for one woman who was a died in the wool Nazi. She denied the Holocaust. She was full of hate, but that's not the point here. For me being privileged to have known those people and hear their life experiences first hand, was the miracle.
@CherylBerryl Жыл бұрын
Yes, it has to be chilling seeing their prisoner #'s tattooed on their arms! What a blessing they had in you as their Nurse. I want to know HOW you were able to even put aside the feelings that you must have felt towards that EVIL Nazi woman!? I honestly Don't think I could have compartmentalized it. Well, she IS paying for her crimes now, since she has gone through her judgement day, & is now where she deserves to be for the rest of eternity! And I think you understand exactly what I am referring to.
@Rebecca-1111 Жыл бұрын
It's sure is interesting what you can learn. I took care of a 104yr old women in 1998. She told me she remembered the titanic sinking. She was a young teen girl and it was all over the newspaper it was a big deal.
@lindanelson8400 Жыл бұрын
@CherylBerryl I never had a problem delivering care to her. That's just doing the job. It was difficult on a personal level as she was a professional at spewing insults, and cursing me out. I believe the Lord puts people in our lives for a purpose. I had to learn to love my enemy. I did pray for her that somehow she would see the truth. Sadly for her it never happened. I wonder how the conversation went on the day she faced the final judgment, and she knew that eternity for her was going to be in Hell. What I was able to take away from her was a deeper understanding of what our military personnel were up against back then. I wanted more than ever to show my respect for them and really get to know who they were. I have an envelope from one man, in it are four photographs he took when he and his men entered a concentration camp just days after the Nazi military abandoned it. Graphic doesn't begin to describe them. I look at them occasionally. Think what America would look like if the Nazis had won.
@lindanelson8400 Жыл бұрын
@Rebecca-1111 104 years old, that's getting up there for sure. Over the course of 35 years I took care of three people who reached the 105 year mark. I can remember the names of two of them. What I do remember is all three of them were quiet, but strong willed. Funny story about one of them. This was back in the late 80's. A couple people from the social security office came to the nursing home to see the old woman to verify that she was living, and the facility wasn't defrauding the government every month for her medicaid money.

Hi Julie, last year I had my second batch of Cancer, out of 6 chemo treatments my first was my worst. After surgery and the one chemo, I became very sick and was unconscious for three days in ICU. While in that the coma like state I knew I was dying, doc’s told my two daughters to go to the quiet room as I wouldn’t make it thru the night. While slipping away I saw Jesus at the top of the wall . I screamed and was upset I couldn’t join him. Nurses quickly found some beautiful Christian music. They say I immediately woke up and day by day improved. It was real but quess it wasn’t my time. I no longer am afraid of dying and have been approved for the MAID program. Thanks for helping me thru this journey.

About 10 years ago, I had a dream. Specifically, my step-uncle visited me in my sleep. I can remember it clear as day. We hadn't been close, so I found it odd that he would visit me. I was in my room, in the dream, and he asked if he could come in. I said sure of course, and ask him how he was. He said he had a message for me. He asked me to tell my aunt (his wife) to go to the doctor. That she was being stubborn but it was very important. I of course passed on the message. A few weeks later she was diagnosed with cancer....my uncle has been dead for 20 years.

My father passed a month ago. He had dementia and was in hospice care in the hospital. He’d been in the hospital for 3 weeks because he had a kidney stone that caused him to become septic. My mom and I sat at his side everyday, all day long. On Sunday he was getting worse, but we still thought he had a few more days. We left the hospital that evening telling dad that we would see him tomorrow morning. That night i decided that I would get up early the next day and go into the hospital just to spend a little time alone with him and tell him all of the things that I wanted him to know before he died. That night I prayed and prayed that he would not die before I got to him. I began rehearsing what I was going to say. I ended up falling asleep, but was dreaming about what I wanted to say. I woke up at about 3 or 4 in the morning with an incredible peace about my dad dying and feeling completely ok if he passed before I could see him. At 5:30 am the hospital called and said that my dad passed at 4:30 that morning. I truly believe that in my dream I was talking to my dad and he really heard me. I can’t explain the peace I felt about his passing, I know it came only because I knew my dad heard me and it was all okay. I’m so thankful for that experience.

My story involves animals and two generations of loved ones. I have always associated red tailed hawks with my father (and now also my grandmother). He died in 2019. Keep in mind, I do live in Georgia, so birds of prey are everywhere. It’s not unusual to spot them, but they’re usually pretty well camouflaged. They usually shy away from people and lower places. I was taking meditation classes at a Buddhist monastery at the time. The day after my dad died, there was a long ceremony. I went to the monastery to grieve and “dedicate merits” to him. It was crowded and the parking lot was full of people coming and going….but a hawk was sitting on the windowsill outside, looking in right at me! I felt like it was either my dad watching me or an emissary for my dad. I went back to that monastery for a retreat about two weeks later and after we finished, a huge hawk was just hanging out on the roof of my car! This happened a few more times. It was always my car. The lot was always full. My car was not the only white car, not the only SUV, not the tallest car, but very often there would be a hawk just hanging out on my roof, no matter which space I parked in. I’ve also seen hawks at other significant times in my life since then. I feel like it’s a nod of approval from him. In February of this year (2024), my grandmother (his mother) was in a terrible car accident. It took her about a week to actually die. I went to see her at the hospital every day and went back-and-forth to her house several times, usually to get valuables out of the house, just in case. On one of those days I had gone to the hospital to visit her, I had gone to her house to pick up some things, and came back home. As I pulled up the driveway sitting on the lowest branch out of all the trees in my backyard was, again, a huge red tailed hawk. I got the feeling the hawk was there to tell me that it was coming to get my grandma so she could be with my dad. It hung out on that branch for at least an hour! My grandmother died that night. Then, on the last day I could visit her house (we sold it and the new people were taking possession of it the next day), I went to take out the trash. As I was rolling the barrel out, several hawks flew by and were calling to each other….or maybe to me? I don’t know, but, again, it felt like they were sending me a message that everything was going to be ok.

My dad had several out of body trips on the occasions when he crashed. A bunch of them were verified with hospital staff. What truly weirded me was the care workers who witnessed this every day and called it out as normal, and went on to estimate his death to within 24 hours, even though he was unconscious and based entirely on the choices they figured he'd make. Leaving this world is the first or second most important thing we'll do. I'm not sure i can be grateful enough for people that help. It's deeper and richer than we think about. But we could do worse than to pay attention. Thanks.

I had a dream where my grandmother (who was a professional flamenco dancer when she was young) came to visit me. She grabbed my hand and told me to dance with her. We danced and laughed, and she squeezed me and kissed my cheeks like she always used to do. Then she said she had to go. I started crying because I knew I wouldn't see her again. She told me not to cry, she said that she is in a beautiful place. And then I woke up. I miss her so much.🥺 My heart and thoughts go out to all who have lost dearly loved ones. ❤

My husband, a few days before death, told me before his death told me he was in a blue casket. We had a pre planned funeral and had picked out our caskets and they were not blue but bronze! When we went to the mortuary to make the arrangements, we were told the bronze colored caskets had been discontinued so I had to choose a different casket. I had no problem with changing it to blue as blue is my favorite color. But how did he know that the bronze ones were not available?

I replied, Yes. I do. I was called that night, and hospice said he didn't have long. I went over, and watched and listened to him breathe. At about 2:00 am, his breathing got different, then was quiet. We had the best good bye anyone ever had. I'm so grateful that I didn't miss the very last of his life.

I have one for you... My momma was around 5yrs since dementia diagnosis. One morning I woke to a message that my uncle passed away the night previously. It was my momma's brother-in-law. When I went to my momma, she said to me that their parents came to her last night and told her to pray for her sister bc she needed prayer but didn't say anything more. I was shocked. My momma has 3 sisters and it was specifically that sister they said to pray for. So I told her why she needed prayer. That was last yr when that happened, just a couple months before my momma died. She also told me the yr before that, that she'd be going Home the next year. And she did.our family has many stories like that. One of mine was when I was 17. My best friend and I went to Arby's one night and there was a guy there who just kept looking at me. It felt odd. As he stood up to leave, he came over to me, leaned in very directly and said, "Be careful tonight". I was like..."okay?". I looked at my friend who was as shocked as I was, not knowing what was going on. He glanced at her and said as if a second thought, to be careful too. Then focused back on me telling me again 2 more times as he left to make sure I am careful. He was very serious. We thought how odd. As my friend finished her food, we saw a couple guys by my car who appeared to be using the broken phone booth next to it. Old, I know, lol. They gave us the creeps how they seemed to be waiting on us. We waited as long as possible to leave. When we were leaving, they left right behind us. As we drove, they tried to speed around us. They then swerved in front of the Corvet in front of us, and slammed on the breaks. We all got sandwiched together. I jammed my right leg in the accident and ended up on crutches. After that, anytime someone told me to be careful, it kind of freaked me out.

One day I stopped and asked God if he hears my prayers and with no one around me all alone in the hallway but what falls on my clipboard but a beautiful white feather! 11:32 thank you ❤️🙏❤️

I am a private home healthcare provider and stayed until they are no longer on this earth. I had my dad come to me after he died to apologize to me and tell me he loved me. I was unable to go to the hospital and funeral due to being nine months pregnant. I would have to fly to him. We had a rocky relationship, and he never told us that he was dying from cancer . We had a close family friend that told us. It is interesting how some of my clients will reach out and be talking to people we think are there I truly believe that even before they cross over they see family members and other people. I wish that we could help people do not fear death as much as they do . Death does not have to be scary at all. It's unfortunate that it's not talked about more. People are often uncomfortable talking about it. I've also worked one on one with hospice to volunteer to sit with dying patients. Either the family members do not live where they can come or they are not capable of being in the room.

So many things happened when my mom passed. Her name was Elizabeth. She loved butterfly’s and my sister and I started seeing butterfly’s for a length of time after her passing at special moments. She a,ways wanted a cat and my dad said no. When we had her memorial in the back yard a cat showed up with 5 kittens. Put a smile on our face. After my mom passed my friend and I went to get dinner as we hadn’t eaten in hours, when we got the receipt the Servers name was Elizabeth. When my sister bought a dress about a month ago it was wrapped in a protector and had the name Elizabeth on it. I had an address book for people at me,oriel to sign and the first picture said Elizabeths tea party. Than the very last thing was we were having a garage sale of my moms stuff. Some lady said she felt a calling to come to our garage sale. She sensed someone had died. When she got in car to drive away we quickly asked her what her name was, she said Elizabeth. One more. When we were waiting in the waiting room for the first grandbaby a little girl came over and started talking to us. She was about 4, just adorable. I asked her what her name was and she said Elizabeth. so many Elizabeths were everywhere.🥰

Seeing all black in an NDE is reported for sure. I'd just regard it as one of the possible variants. In some of the cases, the experiencer would pray something like "Lord Jesus Christ save me!" and found themselves immediately in a more commonly reported NDE situation.
@wethenorth6437 Жыл бұрын
In NDE's, it is common to go into a black space for a short time and after having read many many experiences I believe this is a holding area where it's determined if you're going ahead to the next step or being quickly put back into your body because this is as far as you are allowed to go. There are many steps in an NDE (or very few) and being in the "void" so to speak can be one of the first experiences. A lot of people report feeling peace and comfort even though it is very dark and if allowed to progress a light will appear or a person may just wish to move forward out of this space and you move to the next phase of the experience. Bear in mind NDE's seem to be tailor-made so every persons journey is unique to them.

My Dad had visions over the few days before dying. He couldn't speak and share his experiences with words but he was pointing and looking at them on the ceiling. His face expressions were asking me what this was. He seemed a bit afraid. Because I knew about the world after death, I could reassure my Dad that those visitors want to help him and are greating him. My Dad seemed confused; I guess because he remembered that they were deads. He didn't want to die, he really was fighting to overcome the fatal illness so he didn't feel comfortable with those visitors. But because he relied on me for the last year of his life, my calm explanation seemed to be accepted.

Also I should add I'm a lifelong atheist so have no personal religious context to these phenomena, but I do believe them to be natural phenomena, the nature of which we do not understand. @@estievorster2065 You have overlooked a lot in the Bible. I don't have the time to dig up the examples that you have missed, but quite a few that you've missed came to mind when seeing your comment. One scripture taken out of context does not negate all the other experiences on the subject that are actually in there. This is how people claim there are "contradictions" in the Bible. I am familiar with the parable of the Rich man, and Lazarus. We must remember that this was SHEOL He was speaking of, where the righteous and unrighteous were housed together in the same place, with the gulf in-between that could not be crossed. They couldn't travel from one side to the other because the believers and unbelievers couldn't mingle. One part was Paradise, the other part was "Hell". The equivalent of that today...is knowing that people in Heaven don't communicate with people in HELL. That's not the same as saying we can't have a message from someone in Heaven, to someone living on Earth. After His resurrection--Jesus went to Sheol and took all the believers to Heaven with Him. Believers are no longer in Sheol. And people living on Earth are not in Hell. So that rule of people in Paradise not communicating with people in Hell (as was the case in Sheol) does not apply here. Jesus changed all that--and we don't go to Sheol where we had to stay separate from the people in Hell, on the other side.. So this example does not even apply to any messages from Heaven. Two totally different things...that you have based on circumstances that don't even exist anymore.
