For lack of a better way to put it when ur mouth is open ur losing back pressure similar to a CPAP. Mouth breathing is really unnatural like a bad habit, sealing it shut making ur body breathe through ur nose keeps it a sealed system oxygen in, CO2 out

I would say you're not cleaning out your water tank enough. (I clean mine everyday) Or you're not using the distilled water. This is very important.
