Really nice work. I love to see care taken with the fish to ensure their not beat to pieces on the deck. You can’t believe the number of fishers that get a good quality fish, and then knock the quality down with gaffs, walking on fish, banging gear on them etc.. If I could find a way to purchase your fish I would! Keep up the great work.

Great day of fishing. Luckily you fell into the ice and not the big hole. Been to Alaska a few times in the service loved it now I live in Florida and hate the summers to hot was mid 80s today

In Australia we put our fish in the esky to keep them cool...In Alaska you put your fish in the esky to stop them freezing! Tristan did a great job on his string as well.

That little Kelp Greening you released was cool. When I was young we used to catch them casting from the shore to a small kelp bed, using Grasshoppers!!!😂 We'd take them home and mom would put them in the smoker.

The boat is rocking pretty good and sides only come up to your knees and you don't have a life jacket on. You guys are making me pucker up!

Yea probably setting a bad example by not wearing a life jacket. On the Fish Tale I guess we have the confidence but when we go out on our skiff we always wear one.

Guys, Great job. Looks like you had an amazing trip. T is getting the hang of it too which is great. Nice family business you have there. The way you guys roll through unhooking them fish I would end up hooked in the hand for sure. I normally get it once every other year just charter fishing on Lake Superior. Running through those numbers like that it would be once a trip. Greta job you guys are doing. You should be very proud.

Hi Mark! Yea this was a decent day out, real short and easy to fill our orders. Tristen is doing great, we're proud of him! It definitely takes some practice getting use to not getting hooked, or spined by the rockfish. Always appreciate your comments!

I enjoy watching y’all’s trips, my dad was a tugboat captain on the Mississippi River, and a commercial fisherman on his days off, I went with him every chance I could and loved every minute of it, have y’all ever thought of having a contest and giving a lucky person a trip out with yall

Looks like jigging is pretty easy job, catch bleed and ice them. Gosh I miss my hometown, seeing the calm ocean and salty air.

Do you have a weak link in the line above the weight in case you can’t free it from the bottom? You then only lose the weight.

We've thought about it before, but most times its not only the weight if the edge is steep enough, it'll be a couple hooks as well.

We catch Black Sea Base that is familiar to Rock Fish here in The Long Island Sound off Connecticut. A good fight and a good meal to boot. Thanks for the video.

Rockfish is delicious! It has maybe a more sweet taste, its a lot easier to cook than halibut and holds together - doesn't tend to flake apart like cod.

The rockfish look small, is that normal ? Takes years to get big and spawn. Seems some of those could be put back, but they would die anyway and you don't have time to use a deep water release aid. I'm hungry for rockfish now. Thanks guys, New Sagaya here I come in Anchorage 😋😋😋

I just have to ask , when I hear Kodiak, I think giant Bears ! Are there any close to Town ? Do you ever see any if you're fishing close to the Beach ?

Do you know what's the limit for blacks in that area for a rec fisherman? Do you guys commercial fish for lingcod also?

We don't keep up on the regs for recreational fishing unfortunately, Ty. Lingcod we can keep as bycatch in lengths of 35"> after July.

Would it be worth your while to tie your dropper weight on with a lighter line? So it breaks off rather than requires you too back track?

Weights are another expense and we try to avoid losing gear. We probabally have a 95+% success rate of retriving snagged weights.
