@chris sanvo That's a massive understatement, as he's probably but hours into practice every day and directly helps team get funded by sponsors of his E-Sports career. I believe the right words would be, "It's a video game, not everything is going to be the same as real life." Hence, these guys can avoid using the racing line to maximise speed by using the least distance from drs straights to the finish line (matters less in the race because slipstream). Most of the (actual F1) drivers will probably just stick to the racing line to avoid weaving excessively and avoid getting black-and-white flagged so expect some sitting ducks out there as well as Jeddah being narrower than a single path road (exaggeration). I just need to practice for an English essay. I'm taking analysis too hard ... Pls don't tell me, 'it's a joke.'

tires usage may crucial like qatar, its brand new asphalt, no one know if it slippery, hard or abrasive, high speed turn will degrade pirelli like qatar, dnf is sure, just make everyone safe and alive. good championship

I see a lot of safety cars happening, whoever is first at the end of 1st lap has high chances of winning as long as the driver can keep the car from hitting the barriers. Should be a fun circuit for Mercedes with those high speed corners and straight line speed with Lewis's engine from Interlagos

Multiple safety cars would make it hard for the front driver to run away with the win. The constant bunching up will give the second row chances to slip stream past on restarts and mid field drivers could gain a strategy advantage pitting under the safety car if they happen to be at the optimum part of the track when a SC comes out. Sounds like a crazy race is gonna happen, hope it lives up to the hype.

I don't know about the exit of Turn 4 into Turn 5 at 00:33 ; same with Turn 22 at 1:18 . It seems a bit dangerous to me. If a driver loses control, they could crash head on into that concrete barrier edge. This whole circuit seems quite dangerous to be honest. With high speeds and long straights like that, I hope no one gets T-Boned. I hope all drivers have a safe race.

I literally just posted before seeing your post. Turn 22 looks absolutely ridiculous. It is not hard to imagine someone clipping the the wall on the left turn (on their own or from contact with another car) and then going head first, almost perpendicular, into a wall at whatever speed they carry at 6th gear.

Awesome, but I'm worried to be honest. The layout seems very dangerous, a lot of high-speed curves with the wall SO close. Hope all drivers manage this well and we have an accident-free weekend. Also, this layout doesn't seem to favour Mercedes smart trait of findind the sweet spot where the diffuser stalls on the straights, since the curves are done at such high speeds.

Your last point - Yeah obviously on a corner you will need all your downforce. And because of the clever suspension on the cars that prevents leaning/rolling due to centrifugal force when going round a corner (which would have allowed some air flow underneath the car on the inside), it would likely still stall on the long fast bends which is undesirable. Oh well, it’s only a couple of days let’s wait and see.

1:17 Is it just me or does that corner seem like a death trap? If you clip the wall on the inside on that left turn (21).. you are basically going straight into a wall at '6th gear speed' ???

Yeah thats a risky corner. Thankfully much of the track uses the nascar style "SAFER Barrier" wall design that combines different materials into a wall that softens impacts and rebounds
