I bought the Blackhawk II 7’6” spinning rod for travel to Costa Rica surf fishing and the Medium Fast action is outstanding. The stiffness balance from but to tip is great and loads the rod for long casts. Great rod. I wasn’t expecting this great performance from a rod.

I purchased a Blackhawk II baitcasting MH rod almost a year ago and it snapped in half. I had a M version of the same length and model break too. Both on casting within the specs. These rods aren't as durable as we are told and the floating guides also stick as well as some of the telescope sections

Depends on the fish you are targeting honestly. Spinning puts pressure on the guides more than the rod based on design.
