You will probably never read this but I saw this movie for the first time in the pandemic with my younger brother (he was 15 at the time) not knowing what we were getting into, and we loved how stupid it was. We don't get to watch movies together nowadays and watching Hot Rod is a very good memory for me.

I love that idea was to make a movie that seemed low budget yet these episodes have show just how much thought and effort (and luck) goes into making a movie come off low budget. You’d think it’s be easy to pull off but keeping things on track and staying true to what you want to do-while keeping things funny-seems like a helluva effort

To this day it is one of the best movies that I have ever seen! Me and all my friends and family here in Sweden loved this movie from the start sooooo much and we made everyone see it that we got to know and they also loved it! It was an instant cult movie here in Sweden but it was straight to dvd and didn’t even go to the cinema I don’t know if you are aware of HOW loved this film is within 30-40(I was like 24 at the time it came out) year olds here in Sweden at least! I loved hearing you talk about it in this episode and last and it really broke my heart that you felt it slammed like it did but in our universe in Sweden it was such an instant hit it was basicly maaad funny and still holds up like pure comedy gold!!!

I think a Hot Rod Sequal would be great. Make it about a tiny kid in the neighborhood who was picked on an outcasted. he then learns of a legendary stuntman and how a stunt changed his life, which inspires this kid. He then tries to establish a crew... have it end with Hot rod being a manager of a subway...
