Merry Christmas, Miss Charlotte. 🎄 The family feast looks delicious, and a warm choice to relax in a hot spring, making the festival even charming.

Hi Chako, I am so happy for you and your extended family to be able to enjoy the little getaway to such a beautiful ryokan with the great view, and the gorgeous full corse Japanese Kaiseki dinner (and the breakfast). Leo’s happy sigh, “Ah, shiawase”, cracked me up. So did Rei’s showing off of his yakiniku on a stick to everyone at the table. I am also delighted to see Ren being so alert and happy at the same time when he’s awake. Kudos to you and Maki for being such great parents. I can’t wait to go to Nara at the end of March next year. The ryokan I am staying at is called “Koto no yado Musashino”. I just kind of randomly picked it up on a tourist website and hope it’s as nice as where you guys stayed. Thanks for sharing the joy, Shin from Colorado

Yes, that’s one of the nice things about living in Japan- the quality service and clean, inviting places to stay are bountiful. I’ve never heard of the place you’ll be staying at, but I’m sure it will be great. I’ve never been disappointed by any ryokan I’ve ever been to!
For house keeping wives who are always preparing family's meals, what someone prepares and clears up meals is supreme happiness and necessary emancipation once a year, isn't it?
This family is very nice, I follow it with pleasure❤

Nara is a wonderful place! When I was a kid, my family used to go to various onsens and stayed at ryokans ♨. I remember I was amazed by the variety of ryokan dinner. So glad that you got to relax and spend some time with your family around Wakakusa-yama. Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas! 🎄✨
