Hot Springs & Frozen Forests | Chena Dry Cabin Trip At 40 Below Zero

In our final video of this trip, we spend the morning at the infamous Chena Hot Springs. It was such an amazing experience to take a dip in the serene waters in -40 degrees! It was so cold Emily was able to freeze her hair completely straight up in the air! After the hot springs, we spent some time relaxing in the dry cabin we were staying at. Then we headed back into Chena to explore their Ice Museum. There we got to have an "appletini" served in a hand carved ice glass! We finished our trip by attempting to venture to the ice cave again, but unfortunately, we were met with the same extremely dangerous windstorm we encountered on our first night. We didn't let that get us down, as the trip home was still beautiful, and that just means we will have yet another reason to truck camp again (as if we needed one!)

Good morning and Happy Easter . You 3 have had a big trip and a cold one at that. I could see the snow blowing sideways when you were chatting in the truck at the ice cave place. Good choice to see that another time. Growing up my mom regularly made our toasted cheese sandwiches in the oven ,that was a nice memory when I saw that. Thank you for another wonderful video !! Happy Easter! Our go pro is what we used to film in the truck and it stabilizes footage very well so you couldn’t tell but the truck was rocking hard. When we were in the camper recording we used our normal camera but we stabilize the footage after so no one gets motion sick from our videos. Same thing in there, the camper was rocking really hard. It looks like we won’t get to go back this winter so hopefully it’s still there next winter. You never know! We didn’t even know you could toast sandwiches in the oven but that might be our go to in the future from now on. They were delicious! Happy Sunday! 😄

Frozen looks cool, you really should not put your head under the water at natural hot springs, oemebic ear infections can result.
