You two sure challenged the cold. In my younger years i loved going tonour remote bush camp in northern ontario. It is so nice to sleep in a warm camp with a wood stove. The camp would get so warm, we would open the door to let cold air in. The coldest i saw was -45C years ago.
@2withnature11 ай бұрын
That is really cold. We haven't had any nights that cold and I really hope we don't. This wood stove is only like 5 pounds. When it's that light it's hard not to bring it and use it on every winter camp. Wood stoves really are awesome.

Привет Аарон и Бетси! Вы как всегда удивляете, очень атмосферное видео (и холодное). И когда будет ламповое видео из домика? Всего вам самого хорошего!!!

I was wondering if you were going to keep the shelter in tact for the next visit. But I guess it could melt by the time you make it out there again. You guys are a pleasure to watch! TFS

We kept the walls up because people ride snow machines in the area and we didn't want to leave the pits we dug without being able to see them easily. We figured the walls would give riders a heads up before riding over any holes dug in the snow. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!

Ya that about sums it up. It would've been a lot less work if I didn't do that fire pit though.

The pretty wife is sure a hell of a good sport. Impressive. I wouldn’t like all that daylight along the floor if the tent though. Too much ventilation and heat loss.
@2withnatureАй бұрын
She definitely is, but she also has fun and wants to do it anyway. This setup was actually great after we had the wall built. Ventilation is very important to stay dry and warm when you have a tent made out of silnylon which this tent is, and doubly so when you have a wood stove. If it was canvas we could get away with very little ventilation. But any other type of fabric tent you need the ventilation or you'll get wet and freeze.

@ That’s great. I’m happy you kids get out there and do stuff like that.

Awesome! Looks like you all had fun. What portable hand saw are you using?
@2withnature11 ай бұрын
This is a silky bigboy. I love silky saws, their teeth cut wood so fast and it also worked perfect in the snow unlike a bow saw.
