Hot Tent Camping In Heavy Snowfall!

Camping out in sub-zero temperatures whilst keeping warm in my hot tent, was the perfect way to experience the snowy pine forest with friends. Good food was cooked on the stove, and great times were had around the campfire. Experiencing the glorious sunset and sunrise across the vast white moors, was defiantly a golden hour I wont forget!

I'm a little jealous! I live in the US in North Florida where it never snows. It does get cold though. Snow in the area where your camp was, is beautiful. Here, it would be a sloppy mess in no time. There's actually two more doors around the back of the tent but I just used the front lol

P.S. the Hot plate/rocket stove has stepped back into development. The Burn Chamber needs Insulating, The Stove itself needs legs which I want to bend out of tube, then join the tube to the Stove body so it draws in cold air which heats and then feeds jets ahove the burn chamber with heated air to ignite the wood gas for an after burner effect!😊

I noticed that when look up hot tent videos of how to manage carbon monoxide safely, most of them say don't do the camp stove at night. But some people can't avoid that because their areas are too cold to not do that. So how do you find videos that talk about hot tenting safely without turning the stove off at night? And how do you do that without having a CO problem? And is there certain CO monitors that can let you run the stove at night when hot tent camping?

The way I see it hot tent camping has to beat camping in the middle of the hot Summer and other warmer seasons too because of insects, excessive heat and humidity. Yeah, you might burn up in the tent but cooling off is easy. Just step outside and out of the heat flow from your tent. Cooling an overheated body in the Summer isnt so easy at times. Rechargeable fans make a world of difference though, probably about like heat powered stove fans do in really big hot tents.
